@Ang3lyk4 Thanks for the suggestion. I would need to redo a lot of map changes for Invictus compatibility, but I did have that in mind as well, just need to find time to make an Invictus-compatible version

could you make it compatible with invictus? would really improve alot of whats already here as with invictus' extra stuff we could truly go about creating a fun campaign (p.s will try with invictus anyway just for the sheer: "can it even work" but my request still stands)

@cpimentel ~PdS~ Thank you, I am glad you like the mod! I had wanted to make more bookmarks as you suggested, but I have been pretty busy as of late. I think if I were to make another bookmark, it would probably be for the Second Punic War

Is there any chance, you think, for a future bookmark as detailed as this in good future at the beginning of the run to the First or Second Punic Wars, or even the Macedonian Wars? Even if not, this is a truly magisterial piece of work, and I'm quite happy to have discovered it now!

@Ryden Yes, good idea. One of the things I have planned is a special event that spawns his wife and son as an adult, but now that I think about it I can make them characters from the start

@Black_Viking737 Marius appears as an adult character after 620 AUC/134 BC, Sulla appears after 644 AUC/111 BC, and Mithridates VI is born around 619 AUC/135 BC if Mithridates V is still ruler

@Revan117 Glad to hear that! The end date is currently set to 1229 AUC, which is 476 AD (kind of an arbitrary date, but I think 600 years is enough time to finish a campaign).
I'd also like to add more events and missions for the mod once I finish some stuff for other projects.

This is a really fun and great mod! I hope more work is put into it! When is the end date for it?

I did abandon the republic and formed the roman empire but I still have it

@XkazukiX There are two ways of getting rid of the heritage. One way is by abandoning the republic and becoming the Roman Empire or any form of monarchy (the dictatorship to monarchy route). The other way is to remain as a republic, have less than 1 tyranny and have 80 stability.

The heritage basically symbolizes the decline of the republic during this time period that Rome never really recovered from, until its government was completely rebuilt by Augustus.

How do I get rid of the decline of the republic?

@Sebastian Now that you mention it, since I buffed Rome after making the missions, I can try to make that mission a bit more reasonable, maybe an alternative requirement to complete the mission if someone has low legitimacy due to rng events

Oh I realised why this happened. I had to adopt two people because there werent enough people in my family to fill the expected positions

Hey, really cool mod. One question:I am playing as macedon. To get the claims on Thessaly mission you need 90 legitimacy. I am only at 70, and getting to 90 takes a long time. Is this intended in your mod design? I fear rome haha.

@Jonatan Augusto Yes, it should be fully compatible with Better UI. Just be sure to load Better UI first, before this mod, in the load order

The mod has been updated! Some more flavor like mission trees for Carthage and Pontus as well as the First Servile War for Rome have been added.

I've noticed some territories have been turned into cities by the mod. Cool detail, but the ones that on food producing provinces havent gotten new trade goods.

@Mastah Jedi I agree, I wasn't planning on doing that until I'm finished with the 2nd and 1st centuries BC. The flag is just gonna be a small player choice if Rome becomes Christian, I don't plan on railroading anything like that

Chi Rho, is Emperor Constantine, at the very end of antiquity... I mean, as end game flavor.. why not... but most of the game happens in classical antiquity, so i wouldn't focus on that too much.

@Good Ol' Been I definitely plan to add Christianity down the line, but I'm focused mostly on adding starting content for now. I also have plans for Rome to adopt a Chi Rho flag as well, if that's something you are interesting in playing

150 BC? Does this mean christianity is on the table? I expect with such a late start date, that the life of christ, and the spread in the 1st century CE would be notable. (also, i would like to play as the christians :P )

I think I'm having issues with the Carthage mission. I seem to be waiting forever for "Coloniae in Africa" to complete with days since last war equal to 1825? I've built the required prov legations.

Released a balance update for Rome, including some map changes and general bugfixes.

Players have been able to beat up Rome easily with countries like Macedonia and Carthage, so Rome has now been greatly buffed, as they were pretty weak at release. Rome now has more pops in urban centers in Italia and has roughly double in levy size.

@Ofrr
1- Rome is actually currently pretty weak, as it turns out. I plan to buff them with an update patch soon, so they are currently more challenging than starts like the Ptolemaic kingdom
2- Late game usually isn't as blobby as vanilla since all of the countries start out smaller. Revolts are also more likely for ai than in vanilla
3- Yes, Better UI works with this mod. Just be sure to load this mod after Better UI in the launcher

& my favorite historical starting date, been waiting for something just like that.

Just started a save, few questions:

1- Can't bring myself to play with anyone other then Rome (on very hard).
Am I in for a harder challenge?
I certainly hope so:)

2- How is the late game challenge?
Mostly fearing huge flat empire like in the vanilla game
Though it seems close to Invictus mechanics so I'm optimistic

3- I can use 2.0 better UI with no worries, right?
