Try a bunch of settings, see what looks good and what does what. Some of the best settings I've found are HDR, Adaptive Tonemapper, and MBMB. They should work well with most setups you're making. If you have a bunch of settings enabled, try disabling a few to see how things change. Fiddle with sliders.
The last advice I can think of is to try and go for a certain mood. Imagine things from your character's perspective. If you imagine your character as confident and fearless, make things vibrant and add bloom. If your character is afraid of war, add some shade with HDR, and maybe a vignette. Or you could make things cartoony like this mod. It can help to think of art you enjoy as well. Oh, and make sure to back up your setup if it looks good. Don't be like me and forget 💀
