It kept making compacted ice but then un-compacted it then compacted it over and over.
Will keep an eye on your Discord for any streams or updates
I know Industrial Overhaul has this, but IO goes too far from vanilla - too complex/too many other ores.
Something that worked like this for vanilla ores would be amazing.
@infra Industrial Overhaul is also not supported, same deal as this one ^
Unfortunately the way things are in Space Engineers, every item has to be manually defined. So any new ore that a mod adds, I would have to make a definition for it in my mod, including the model, icons, etc. I need to find the time to make compatibility packs for some of these other mods.
Also, I am confused on your application of this. If you already have a large grid ship, why not just place the Ore Mill on it? You can't be saving that much space if you are attaching grids together for a work around. Furthermore, what mods are you running that make you need the Ore Mill to begin with? It is really only there for mod compatibility, as the compressed ores can be refined directly as is.
I would be glad to help with testing, and using the new mod when it comes out.
@KagedDeamon I am still intending on creating a smaller small grid compactor! It is a really great idea, especially with the Automations update. It will for sure help make compact mining drones!
There are no ores that convert at full efficiency. The refinery has a 100% material efficiency rate by default, but that's only for purposes of comparison with the basic refinery which has 70% efficiency. Which is to say, it destroys 30% more mass during conversion than the full refinery does.
