I mean, the game already makes Hat Kid's shadow always below her, so if you are wanting a shadow only option would be to just not have the mod installed/enabled itself

It standing out is mostly intentional so you can clearly see it, a darker color from the config can make it more shadowy though.

Lovely mod! My only suggestion would be adding some a shadow-only option to it, like it's done in most Mario games. I think it would fit the art style a little more.
