Thank you for all your help. With you clearing away that misunderstanding I'm able to get my rather lengthy mod collection to start up without crashing.

Ok I looked back at the mods in collection. Seems I've made a fundamental misunderstanding. My apologies for wasting your time.

Wait, when I tested the mod compatibility Jef's mod overwrote AXD's mod, and vice versa. That is, there's no benefit to having either installed at once.

Also, neither Jef's mod nor AXD's mod actually has the files for the base Muscarine mods, you still need to install all of those separately for any of this to work...

That would defeat the purpose of the mod though. The whole point of these bundles is so that you wouldn't have to download all five or so of those mods and you could save space.. I could've sworn I did just that and it was the hood rework in particular that was causing the crash but I'll do so again. If I get the same messages or something similar I'll let you know.

Right, so I saw your comment on AXD's NSFW Profligates mod and I think you misinterpreted him. He said you needed the original Muscarine mods to be underneath his mod, not the Jef compilation mod. You don't need the original Jef mod installed to use AXD's mod, or vice versa. I tested this on my end.

That being said, I was unable to reproduce the error you described, I was able to launch the game with any combination of Jef's, Muscarine's, AXD's, and my mods. I'd recommend removing the sfw version and seeing if that resolves the error, or just verifying your game files to see if that fixes it.

I thought so too but it gave me a black screen listing off a few errors regarding the spine of the character, a bunch of other weird model related stuff and a skill before it just crashed to desktop. I don't know if this has to do with the fact that I put it as Hood Rework, Jef's NSFW Mod Collection and the regular Jef's mod collection. Since the regular bundle is the sfw versions while you have to put the nsfw version above the regular to get the normal variant. Figure I might as well explain everything I saw.

Theoretically, if you place this mod above any mod containing the hood, it'll overwrite the other mod and still work.

Would be nice to get this to work with Jef's Mod Collection that has all the profligates in a bundle. Saves space.

Can confirm that no matter how much you buff her ACC, it's impossible to land the riposte.

Unlikely. I really only made this because the Eucharist, my go-to backline Courtyard-themed class, was either removed from the workshop or went private, and this was the only other even remotely considerable candidate for a replacement - except their shuffle made the party non-viable.

i really like this mod and am hoping you might also take a look at the fawn. her self bleed on crits is so high and the amount of babying you have to do for her while also doing high lvl dungeons makes her almost worthless.

I like it. it Removes the party shuffle which is great and she is a amazing dodge tank who can provide support. Shame the riposte can never land though I love the animation for it (its funny/cute). will use again when I download the hood in future "seasons". 8/10

her only weakness is a low hp pool and low damage. but when she has Massive Dodge buffs, the power to say no to affliction making Barriston's head just free 25% prot (Plus her own trinket that gives her 10% prot and dodge), has a decent bleed, can Riposte and guard letting her squeeze more damage out even if low and can make a stupid amount of money... that's not a big weakness in the long run.

Honestly this Rework is... a kinda OP. IMO at least.
Piece of Cake is now a great heal (only 1 less then a level 5 divine grace) that has a good chance of a decent damage buff with no downsides,
what's this giving a BATTLE LONG RIPOSTE with a massive dodge and decent speed buff is insane. especially when the hood can Guard other's, Sip of wine is now a great stress heal that gives stupidly good resistances to the point bleed and Blight are almost a non issue unless the class is vulnerable to them.

This is all on top of the most broken thing about Vanilla hood, she can't afflict she can only virtue.
Making her a flexable support that can stress tank better then any other class ever.

I mean, that's not really my experience. There's a lot of characters you can just toss into either the front or back two ranks and they'll never notice an issue from changing one position every turn. Only thing I can think of that it disrupts is specifically Leper's skills that require rank 1, every other (base game) character you can put in a position that ensures they don't get randomly shut down by her movement. I don't find it any harder to plan around her than around, say, having a Highwayman.

TBC I respect the fix-it-yourself attitude, and you're absolutely free to get your enjoyment out of the change. It's just not what I expected or saw as necessary in a rework mod, and I thought the justification you gave was a bit odd was all.

Videe I don’t think she’s weak when it comes to gathering money, just that her shuffle gimmick makes her ruin any party not built around a shuffle mechanic. This limits her usefulness and frankly makes her more trouble than she’s worth in my opinion, hence this rework that makes her stand still for once.

I mean, she's basically a second Antiquarian. I see her more as a money-making, but weaker class with some minor combat ability. If anything I just don't think all her abilities are similar in power to each other, not that she's weak for her role overall.
