i cant. it doesnt really fit the style im going for in this map
take some layers of static, blur them, do color correction for both layers and the main image, and merge them together. pretty basic stuff if you've messed around with it before
good to know then, thank you. though it'll be a bit while long until I port them over to the map. I was worried about porting infra props over because of copyright.
While yes I'm not well versed in the realm of copyright (I think it's boring honestly), I do know that if I used something without permission in my maps, all it takes is one takedown, but thank you for clearing it up. I might use it in my next map as well but that will take even longer
Infra is allowed to be mounted into Garrys mod, given they have given Garry authorisation for their game's content to be used into garry's mod, I don't think there would be any issues using the props in a map.
5th image i based off of a security camera. several overlays i stole from slender the arrival and others from the internet, did a bunch of overlaying and modifying the texture to look right and added in text
i resorted to using props from other valve games mostly because of this. i used cof props in here because i assumed the devs were fine with it and i even saw other people port them into their maps and those maps didnt really get taken down
plus, i dont make horror maps. i just make spooky feeling maps for screenshots and sandbox purposes since thats the type of map im very familiar with when i started out in source and unity.
