I just do not get it. I follow directions but I must not understand. How do you get SFM to find the folder. It finds nothing.

@Tamale, try just copying and pasting whatever is inside the models and materials folder of the addon directly into your content/models and materials. Make sure it is the content and not the game folder. Hope this helps.

I've followed the instructions but searching 'polyhaven' doesn't work in the asset browser, I copied the content folder into the Half life Alyx folder. Is there something specific about renaming the "your addon here" folder? This is my first shot at using 3rd party models. Thanks!

There is one small model still with missing glass textures i.e. the magnifying glass.

The terminal says this:
Error loading resource file "models/polyhaven/magnifying_glass_01/magnifying_glass_01_lens.vmat_c" (Error: ERROR_FILEOPEN)

So you there is one final problemo then all is good :)

@Heccu - it should be 6gb when unpacked.

So the zip itself is 5.7 gigs. Can someone please tell me what the unpacked file size is? I've got a laptop and can't afford to give up 50 to 100 GBs for a model pack.

The hangs are normal. That's Source compiling the detailed 4K and 8K materials. After it has finished it will be smooth forever.
