It is a better version of the current mod and it doesn't use the VSLib, so Admin System, or any other VSLib mods won't conflict with it


I was planning on splitting the mod into pieces so you could have whatever you liked in a way that if you could have them all together to make the whole thing work too.

Anyway, sorry for the twitchy camera, I didn't had that much experience modding left 4 dead 2, I had to learn by myself and I thought I I got good at it lol

It's kinda hard keeping track of this and sometimes not even worth it as people tend to just steal the code anyway.

my code creates the thrid person views and commands at the first local host game you create, after that you can disable it and it will still work, for the cameras and such. Now, for the flickery aim it will only work if you have the mod enabled and you have to be the host of the game.

I just tested them, so apparently this 1st mod when installed has that annoying twitching aim assist. You have to subscribe to it every time you exit and open the game because the game doesn't register it unlike when you subscribe, open the game and then unsubscribe. What happens to the 1st mod when unsubscribing while running L4D2 (without ever exiting L4D2) is that you are able to get rid of twitching while keeping every other function of the mod working a.k.a the 3rd person view which is the main reason for installing it in the first place. I will let you know, if I ever find a permament solution or a work-around.

Here's how to fix snapping, twitching, flickering in 3rd person. Sub to this mod, to menu hud shoulder options mod, 3ps third person mod and then after put different keybinds for everything in both shoulder hud and 3ps third person after that unsub from this one and then you will get 3rd person without that buggy snapping twitching flickering annoying thing. That fixed it for me, though you will have to manually go back to the same exact 3rd person view you had beforehand every time you die/start campaign. (not incapp, but literally get your character killed) It also in combo with 3ps gives you more 3rd person options, not unlimited, but a lot more. I don't know if you have to subscribe to this everytime you start campaign or will it work without it. I will test it and comment down here again to let you know.

Having a weird issue where the aim keeps snapping left or right whenever I move my mouse

this spams the console with "*FUNCTION [unknown()] scripts/vscripts/VSLib/EasyLogic.nut line [5603]" and then hard crashes the game

this is the best and ONLY working mod. the only odd thing is that there are some hitches when using the focus aim but that a very small matter when compared to the hell it was trying to get the game to shoot straight in the base line over the shoulder

hahaha solo suscribanse al mod y cuando entren y cargen su mapa en la consola escriban bind "v" thirdpersonshoulder y listo por lo menos yo lo uso de esa manera hasta ahora 22/02/2024 y escucho el sonido al disparar de cualquier tipo de escopeta y dispara donde apunta la mira a excepción cuando estas demasiado cerca pero por eso esta el comando que les puse arriba cuando esten cerca regresan a primera persona y a distancia media y lejos usan la tercera persona facil no se compliquen gente

how do i move the camera down like the 1st screenshot?

the bullet goin to crosshair thing is kinda working its like a milimeter off and that makes it hard to shoot stuff close to u but the other stuff working very good

The camera flickering hasn't been fixed yet? When I first install the mod worked fine but now it flickers. I'll wait for the fix, still great mod though

Writes the following (in console) when I try to switch to left and right sides:

Will look forward to the fix! It seems like the game is flickering back and forth to the vanilla camera position and with yours. It seems to be connected with the update rate as well. The wonders of Source, haha.

Hi there. Recent comeback to the game and after an hour of finding your mod is one of the best tps camera mod out there bro. Easy to install and use, work perfectly. But there an issue, I mean just small issue bu its somehow annoy me. Look like the mouse auto micro-flicking in tps mode. Can you fix it bro. Btw many thanks for great mod

the code "for now at least" only works if you Load the mod by starting a Single Player or Local host, you will need to do this only once so the mod Loads and runs


The AIM FIX (not aim assist) will work only for the Host because changing the cvar c_thirdpersonshoulderdist is considered "CHEATING" by valve, because people would use it to abuse the values of others cvars, changing them so you can't aim correctly


The SHOTGUNSOUND FIX will work for everyone if the host is using my mod, because all it does is detect whether or not you are firing a SHOTGUN, and then plays the sound for it

So, yes, you can invite your friend, but if he wants to have the camera settups, he will then have to FIRST, Load the mod by:

-Starting a Local host

or

-Playing a singleplayer game


This is how the mod works, you first need to load it, by playing local host or singleplayer

cause im a crosshair 0 user, pressing the key bind to (focus aim) shows the crosshair again...

if the weapon has a laser on it, it might show up, but that depends on the mod, for thirdperson I dunno why it just doesn't show the laser for you as the player

but I've seen mods that they use a 3D kinda transparent red-ish small pipe, that simulates a laser


but it was so long ago that I don't know where I found it

oya, n SIGNIFICANT frame rate drops n audio distortion when there is a TANK, made it unbearable
