ArmA is practically made for modding. We've probably already got several versions of all these weapons. I'm gonna' have to learn some stuff, but I know it's all possible.

Before you go any further you need to be sure:
1. It is possible to mod OPTRE
2. You know how to extract/compile OPTRE's game files. For example on the source engine I use VTF edit, GCF scape and VPK. there would be similar programs out there for ARMA 2, possibly even included in the game's files.
3. you can find a suitable weapon in OPTRE with similar textures. Is there an mk18 in OPTRE? if not, can you find a gun that looks similar?
4. you have some sort of editing software. I use a combination of photoshop and Paint.net depending on the computer im on. This is because I can absolutely guarentee you that if you take the base file from this and replace a texture in that, it will be out of proportion and may even cause a crash. what you need to do is reconstruct the base file so it matches. Thats why I said earlier I doubted the UV mesh would match. It sounds complicated but it isnt.
5. you've backed up your game files in the event of a crash

ah. ok. well. you'd have to do some research. Arma 2 uses the virtual reality 3 engine. So that means any Source encoding of textures I've done will have to be undone. I can do that part for you. in laymans terms it means I can give you PNG images to make your life easier.

VPK complete! now just wait for my shit internet to download Insurgency again, ill test it and upload the finished product!

*Update* made a fairly basic 3rd Person model. Nobody sees it anyway. Will compile and post all soon

*Update* Done the first person model. I cant test it, because Insurgency is updating. I added the orange strip, misriah logo and UNSC logo, splashed in some colour and am now working on 3rd person

okey dokes. I am sitting here with a UMP canvas in front of me trying to figure out what bit is what. This could take a while.

Uh just the decals like the UNSC and the orange strip just like this gun but on a UMP.

I might have to update my insurgency. I havent played it in ageeeessss. What parts of the texture here do you want included in the other gun? Technically I dont do workshop requests any more but considering this wont take too long I dont mind.
