As for hopping when turning, that was an intentional decision, I prefer it immensely to him just turning on a dime, just feels better. Turning as bumb is SUPPOSED to be a little bit of a downside, since it goes against his momentum. You learn to get used to it after playing the character for a while.
However, I have 2 Main Issues:
1. I don't like how he hops when he turns, makes jumping or attacking after turning hard
2. I can't use the Speed Ability on the ground
If these could be changed, I'd appreciate it!
I do wish the Time ability was in this, but I could see It being too OP, so I understand, so I got a Buddy Add on to fix that!
Just fix the 2 things I said, I would really be Grateful!
but as i said i still like the character, will just have to get used to it.
Gnomz is the race of people, Bumb is the specific Gnome. I don't think that was a "missed opportunity", Actually, if they named the character Gnomz I'd say that would be quite lazy. Like if you named the main meerkat of Lead the Meerkats "Meerkat".
Believe it or not it is possible to get used to. It's kind of worth the effort, because if you can get past the initial shock of trying to play him, you get the benefit of confusing the hell out of your opponents
one trick I reccomend is wavedashing to have more control on momentum. Also make sure to practice using your d special, it's a very good move if used properly.
