My advice would be to use that, instead for your mod. I tried to find the animation from the Red Duke/Vamp Lord sword and shield as I think they're more stoic idle but couldn't them.
Many thanks to camrad Shorewall for making edits for this mod. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to support this mod, so his help was very important.
Suddenly no. You can dismount before the battle but not in the middle.
No, it's vanilla mod
Now dismounting cavalry is available for all races.
Didn't like lore very unfriendly example (yeomen into knights, as theyre like so different kind of things) but the idea is brilliant.

Not sure if its from your mod but just throwing it here in case someone has the same thing happen. Might be just a random bug , but i never had that happen to me before i used this mod.
1. Storming fortresses, detachments can climb onto walls.
2. If you defending the city use dismount cavalry, you can send it to the walls and protect narrow passages.
3. If the city has no walls, there is no place for shock cavalry to strike on narrow streets, it is much more useful to use it on foot.
4. If you are attacked in the field by superior enemy forces, you can "stay in the corner" to avoid flank attacks by the enemy. In such a situation, the dismount cavalry will be more useful to you.
5. Your dismounted long range cavalry carries fewer losses from enemy shooters.
