I always found it funny the original map prop itself is too big for even heavy, so its actually kind of weird seeing it scaled to the mercs.
Originally this was going to be an engineer exclusive. However, due to the fact that this hat is a tribute to TF2’s history, it felt wrong to have it be anything but all-class. My second reasoning was also because Engineer already has an exclusive mining helmet. Thanks for the comment!
It will also obliterate the Aperture Hard Hat's market value if it gets in, as the latter is currently the only real way for classes besides Engineer to wear a hard hat. As someone who's wanted to make an Engineer Heavy loadout for a while now but can't spare the cash, I'm all for that.
