The AI is kinda broken. Recruits one unit of troops in every city per turn, money seems not be a limiting factor. So the AI is spamming the player like crazy. Do you still work on the mod?

Your words console me so much because I thought that the bug I found during the campaign saves was due to some mistake I made in modifying the files that structure the main mod "Imperium Surrectum" and instead the problem lies in the latter. I also learned, with amazement and infinite joy, that the team of modders RTR IS is reworking a new version of this fantastic mod also taking inspiration from the concept that is recreated in my submod: the plurality of contending Roman factions, all superior to the highest political and military figure of the Roman Senate.

hello tummialuigi..i am surprised by your surprise..the comments on the big problem of IMPERIUM SURRECTUM are not lacking however....It is the most elaborate MOD, the most documented, the most sought after, but "NEVER" has any player been able to do a long campaign...There is a problem of corruption of saving reported AND KNOWN since the beginning..so your creation which is based on this MOD also blocks (I think that's it) Fortunately and I would say "FINALLY" a "big" update and a new MAP should arrive in a few weeks and where this problem of saving should be definitively resolved so that we can fully enjoy their incredible work.

I solved it by using the save points from a previous campaign, resuming the game from the year 155bc. Unfortunately there was no way to solve the problem reported in the previous message. In practice I was able to load the campaign from the year 192bc but, as soon as I saved the progress and closed the game, at the next restart and loading the last save point there was no way to resume the campaign. Proceed with the last save point before the year 145bc, then try to changes year: press the "\" key and enter this command: date <year> (in your case "date 144") , then go forward one turn and see if you've solved your problem. However, with the new game campaign that started about a month ago, I'm still at 190 BC.

Hello everyone. I have started a new campaign (not short) with the Empire of Rome faction. I have reached 220 BC and so far I have not encountered any crash to desktop or any anomalies. The behavior of the factions controlled by the AI ​​appears more dynamic and aggressive, even if the "romans_senate" faction is still confined within its province, with almost only one powerful army entirely concentrated within the walls of the city of Rome. The Rome faction (not playable) instead has conquered all of Sicily in just 15/20 years from the beginning of the campaign and is currently concentrating its armies on the shores of the Adriatic opposite those of the Italian peninsula and is responding more actively to my repeated requests for assistance in the war.

for GEGEJAMES: if I'm not mistaken, hostilities between Roman factions should be triggered when you completely lose the favor and support of the Senate faction (either by complete non-compliance with orders received or by reaching a level of political and military power that tends to diminish the Senate's power of control over your faction), but at the same time when you reach a level of popularity with the plebs at the highest levels. Having started a new campaign I'm still far from those events, so I'll have to wait a little longer to verify what you say. So the so-called "civil wars" can be inserted, in my opinion, in a context of this type, I don't think other dynamics occur in my submod.

for GEGEJAMES this anomaly is not the submod but RIS, it is known by our team but unfortunately we cannot do anything about it at present, though trust me we are trying. I cannot say how long this will take but hopefully by the time we release v0.7.0 with the Roman roster totally Remastered it will be fixed. We continually recommend playing Greek or Hellenic factions for now which are completed and where you can see all the wonderful Remastered units in their glory. While I have the armies of the Roman Empire and I advance slowly in northern Italy, the allied Roman armies gradually empty their provinces of all defense. All these armies of ROME then head to the outskirts of CURRICUM on the other side of the Adriatic Sea ... I had in these scenarios up to 7 complete Roman armies that did not move, immobilized for dozens of turns. They also become invisible to the eyes of the other factions and are never attacked. This same pattern is found in all my aborted games ... this is of course not a criticism but information. and if I am told that I am the only player to have noticed this anomaly ... it is because I am really a "black cat" with this mod

I hope you manage to stabilise it a bit more, as bringing back the Senate imo makes for an interesting addition and returns some nostalgia. Unfortunately in another replayed save when not sacking and abandoning Patavium I discovered another ctd ...When I attacked Massailia settlements and field armies on my way to the Arverni homelands I had a ctd, I replayed 4 times against different targets and it ctd every time. I bypassed them in the end and carried on to the Arverni, sorry for that unwelcome report. I can still continue my LP though and hopefully reach victory conditions, keep up the good work, modding needs guys like you. Regards Saul.

After many hours working on this issue I think I may have made inroads on solving the puzzle. After I sacked Patavium a few turns later there is the Civil Revolt and as per the new script another faction takes ownership rather than rebels, in this case it's the Arverni. To test my theory I replayed the capture of Patavium and this time I held the settlement. Next I sent an army across to attack the Arverni homelands and this time there was no ctd.. I rerun this scenario 3 times and no still ctd. It would appear that the trigger to the ctd has to be sacking Patavium and allowing the Arverni to take ownership. I tested the exactly the same approach on our 6.7 beta playing as Rome, there were no ctd's when sacking Patavium and allowing the scripted ownership to the Arverni.

I'm sorry you don't fully understand my information but I tried my best to explain the whole scenario of what was happening. In brief, I'm playing as Empire of Rome faction, the short campaign victory conditions are to destroy or outlast the Arverni faction who are in middle Western Europe between the Ardui and Allobroges factions. When I attack any of their settlements or field armies the game ctd. This does not happen when I attack any other settlements or armies only the Arverni. The Arverni are the 19th faction down in the faction menu choice. I also took the time to play as Rome on our RTR:Imperium Surrectum v0.6.7 beta and send an army by sea across to Westerrn Europe and attacked some Arverni settlements too make sure it was not an issue within the beta, all was fine. That's as much information I can gather to try and perhaps help. If you like I can pass on the crash logs to our team and perhaps if they can find time from their busy schedule they will have a look.
