Now that's strange.

I did lad, I re-did all of the settings in the universal recoil mod and as you can see, it still doesn't work properly. For me all of the settings look normal in-game and there's no crazy recoil. Even after deleting in-game configs and downloading ones from this mod, the settings look just fine.

I will re-add the recoil mod in the near future, for now, let the it be.

That way the new config would save the fixed mutator settings.

A simple fix would be to select your config, adjust the mutators in game, and then save it in a different config name. That's what I did. Perhaps you could then use that new saved config to replace the existing one.

I honestly have no idea then. I'm removing the addon for the time being.

I know the old one was properly deleted when I unsubscribed, since it went to the tob of the load configuration list after I subscribed again.

Lovely collection and configuration, but for some reason every config has Universal Recoil set to 8. It's basically unplayable, especially with scoped weaponry.

Yeah a normall install of the universal recoil mutator doesn't produce the ridiculous recoil. But this config somehow replaces the periods with commas in the files. It also affects the turret aiming mutator, the player armor mutator (giving you ridiculously op armor I suppose), and perhaps other mutators in your collection that I haven't checked.
But aside from those, the config works great :)

Actually a lot of people have mentioned having absurdly high recoil with my configs and I honestly think it's the same problem as here. I use the universal recoil with all of my configs and again, I have no idea what causes this issue specifically.

I'm using windows. It's alright, it's just a simple fix anyway. I just changed the commas to periods in the files and they were all fixed. And the mutator can also be adjusted ingame. Strange why it's only happening to me. But my guess is the guy below also encountered the same problem so that's why his recoil is also ridiculously high.

Thing is, I couldn't set those settings at such high values even if I wanted to, so the problem is either at your end or the steam workshop being ♥♥♥♥♥. Aside from that, again, no idea.

I checked all of the configs, the settings seemed fine and nothing like you prescribed. Are you using MAC or Linux? Perhaps that's screwing up things. Other than that I am not sure what's causing you these issues.

I did notice some of the newer made configs having different recoil setup though (I made them from scratch and forgot to apply same settings as the rest of the configs), so I will fix that, but aside from that, I am not sure how to help you.

That might be the issue, since the EA26 broke mutators in a way, that you need to use a comma ( , ) instead of a dot ( . ). I thought I checked that before releasing the mods, but I guess I did not. I will release an update soon.

A similar bug of the config when used with the turret aiming enhanced. The period was replaced by a comma, which broke the camera distance in 3rd person for the vehicles.

I looked at the files. I think the problem with the recoil is that this config makes it so that the Universal Recoil settings have much higher values instead of the default. The crouch stance multiplier is 7 instead of 0.7, the prone stance multiplier is 8 instead of 0.8, and the recoil strength is also 8 instead of 0.8.
Perhaps it was mistakenly using a comma instead of a period in the files.

Well that's vanilla + for ye. Camo variants really do a number on the size of downloads.

Sofa updated the vehicle mods, all the camo variants are seperated into hidden mods, which I cant add to collections...

@cots Disable or reconfigure the recoil mutator, I think the biggest issue is caused by the fact that recovery is set to zero for some reason, so you need to reaim after every single shot

Except in every other game it recovers automatically when you stop shooting, but not with the settings you chose
