Huh? Seems everyone became a TF2 artist after a certain upload? Anyways I think the hat is not that artstlye breaking I mean I can't name anything artstyle breaking about it. TF2's artstyle ain't limited with only 70's looks y'all. Overall it's a cool cosmetic and a cool reference to both Splinter's Cell (Or Deep Rock Galactic?) and Full Metal Jacket, keep up the good work my guy!

As an engineer main, I can only pray that this cosmetic gets added, because knowing Valve they'll look right over this amazing piece of work that fits well within a war themed hat simulator...for something like a hat that doubles as a toaster.

The only thing bad I have to say it that it just doesn't fit the game. I think it would be perfectly fine as a cosmetic for game not as stylized as tf2. Never the less it is still well made. You can make this concept work, for example you can use the hat + the goggles for the driller in deep rock galactic as a great example. It even fits the time frame for tf2. Just be sure to make the goggle not too big so that it looks way too wacky. This could easily get added into the game and get nice praise for being well made, fitting in the game, and being a deep rock galactic reference.

James my brother in christ your argument is such a cope. it's paper thin. if you want to withold the game to its time period then we wouldn't be looking at the myriad of things that don't chronologically fit within the game, but are canon.

If you don't like the item itself for what it looks like that's something you're entitled to, sure. But making this kind of argument comes off as tone deaf at best and moronic at worst.

the game takes place in 1968-1971. why the fuck did you give engineer modern mil spec nvg goggles. Literally just look at Medic's ze goggles if you wanted a more fitting item inspiration.
