The swastika symbol is actually a Buddhist/ Hindu symbol of peace. It is still widely used all throughout Asia and India. Heck go on Google maps and look around Tokyo, you will see swastikas all over mapping out Buddhist Temples. It was only Hitler who abused it and turned it into something that it wasn't, aka stole it . None the less, Hitlers so called master race of Ayrans hahahaha. The Ayrans where/ are a real people located in northern Iran and in the Hindu Kush regions. Hence its how Iran got its name from the Ayran peoples the Indo-Iranian speaking peoples. AKA Hitler stole that too. I think its time to set history right and give back history to its respectful people.

Hey Liquid Snake, I made the flag backgrounds in Photoshop with DDS (Direct Draw Surface) plugin ( http://fnordware.blogspot.com/2014/09/dds-plug-in-for-after-effects-and.html ) . The background files open without issue in Photoshop and I checked in game if something might be missing or broken but everything seems fine.. I would like to help but I'm not sure how.. maybe you are missing the dds plugin for gimp or something got corrupted while installing the mod?

@skully the real problem isn't the swastika, that's just a squiggly line. The problem is that nazis see it, see people feel ify about it, see OP defend themself succesfully, with a bit of help from a few of them, and then feel a bit more confident next time they harass a minorty.

These symbols are really high quality, their crisp lines and smooth gradients are proof that you took your time to make these look professional. Excellent work.

i mean this is a game that lets you play as a monstrous fascist empire, so if anyone should get mad at anyone they should be getting mad at paradox for making a game about this. besides, you can always play a benevolent democraftic nation and use the fascist symbols for an AI opponent

Custom fan made symbols.
Majority of them are abstract and some of them are inspired by well known symbology from the real world - for example cross and swastika.
Only one symbol is copied 1:1 from the real world - the pentagram. I could not resist :)

This symbols are real = Humans cultures symbols. Or are fan made symbols ?
