This is all, of course, for after I fix the textures and UV mapping. There is a long road ahead!
I might honestly just completely remake the textures to save me some headache. I was planning on doing that anyways, since I've gotten a bit better at texture painting.
Thank you, by the way! I appreciate any and all feedback, always.
I can tell the textures were very messy, the UVs are still pretty bad. A lot of empty space, various parts are wildly disproportionate.
Whenever you do get back to it, definitely resize the parts, and try to cram stuff into one texture image as much as possible. At the very least, 1 arm 1 leg pelvis torso all in a single image, mirror over the limbs.
Pauldrons, for customization sake, could be left separated so you could have icon variants. Just put both pauldrons into one image. Misc parts like the undersuit, the plate under the pauldron, and studs, could be recycled UVs instead, make like a misc image where you just have grey metals with only purpose features(so a blank sheet of metal the under pauldron plate, a small variety of "stud" circles, so on)
Anyways, that's definitely an issue I was planning on addressing... whenever I get back to this.
"... because SFM kept crashing..."
no wonder, you have some really inefficient resources here. You really don't need 4K image textures for this, especially since this doesn't look any better than the models from Space Marine.
You especially don't need 4K image textures for *every limb*, and then pauldrons, torso, and head.
You should look into compressing the textures, and try managing them better. For example, you would probably want a texture for the head, another for the pauldron, and then a texture for the rest of the body.
