I just found it funny that the Spitfire is less laggy than the shotties 😂
So I noticed something while stress-testing my L4D2 setup with a custom map, and I think it's related to this mod. There is a lot of frame-dropping when shotguns gib through hordes. (Very noticeable during running crescendos.)
I'm not sure if it's due to all the particles being generated at once, from the weapon, the impact, and the gore.
I'm also running most of your other +Ultra Particle suite, the MW2019 Muzzle Flash , and your hitmarker script mod for reference, so all of those combined are probably what cause the performance impact with shotguns and hordes.
That said, my 200-mod setup does not crash on Suicide Blitz 2 and Yama , and that setup includes this mod, so I gotta say, I'm keeping this one.
I love it.
We'll get better blood fx once Valve update this to Src 2
If you can somehow find a fix for this it would be MASSIVELY appreciated, this mod is so good that I consider it essential and can't play without it
