Saying that this is not compatible with a weapon mod is technically 'probably incorrect'. More like a quirk in how the game is coded requires this to have its own set of patch files written up for a bunch of mods - which would be an unfair task for the maker of this mod given how many goddamn weapon mods are floating around. I've thrown a quick and dirty editing writeup in discussions for the incredibly impatient single player or server host, maybe. Remember to back up both the original and edited files...

Oil Filter silencer when???

silencers are not compatible with VFE addons, like STALKER and Post 93', though they work with Gunrunner ones, i don't know if it's a problem with those mods (since even other attachments like lasers and such aren't compatible) or it could be fixed in ur mod Max

maxwell just wait for multiplayer to release for b42 several other mod creators opted for this, like the only cure mod maker. multiplayer should be somewhat stable

I need help. I just can't get a silencer on any weapon. The character takes a screwdriver and a silencer, starts putting it on and that's it. The silencer just stays in the hand.

I can only assume that Maxwell218 is waiting for VFE to get updated for build 42. Also an important note in case not one heard, STENDO_CLIP sadly passed away but, Veilspring wants to continue his legacy and keep a mod that means a whole lot to the Zomboid community alive. It is very likely that it is going to take a while for VFE to get updated and this mod has a VFE Patch

While using both VFE by STENDO_CLIP and Silencers, using these mods together, its amazing. everything works nearly perfectly, the only "Bug" ive experienced is that you can install a silencer and laser on the same weapon. Not much of an issue. All around a great mod

this only replaces the audible sound for the player but does not change the actual sound reduction of any weapon as such.

It works on M36 well but on JS 2000 texture of silencer is missplaced and theres like big ass silencer next to my character xD

@nastynick66 they only work for a certain amount of shots. Not sure the exact amount but i know for the bottle it only lasts for a few shots and doesn't lower the volume by much.

I have the VFE patch version installed after VFE. Made water bottle silence and installed on rifle.. only a .22 so not high damage. However when fire gun the noise volume remains same as if no silencer and whole group of zombies heard and came after me. Is it limited to one shot use or something or should the silencer work indefinitely?
