I subbed. I have an ongoing game so I can't test this yet. I wanna try the biggest galaxy. Part of me wonders if my pc will be able to not explode trying to manage so many systems and civilizations :steamfacepalm:. Hopefully not :steamhappy:.

From my experience this mod works fine until your empire reaches or you see too much of the galaxy. Definitely needs an update.

Hi, does this mod change the size of the playing field too? I tried a different mod with bigger star counts but it just pushed everything together more densely.

@WASP - The last time I checked, the "radius" was effectively hard-capped at 500. It's possible to set larger values than that, but star placement is limited to a 1,000x1,000 unit square, with the galactic core in the exact center of that square; if you tell it to try to place stars outside that square, any that would be placed beyond that boundary are instead placed ON the boundary, so you wind up with basically a solid line of stars forming a giant square at the edge of the map.

I want double the size of Large, so for instance 2500 stars but I looked up the files of your mod and realised you didn't increased radius proportionately to the amount of stars. Is there a reason for that or just personal preference?

So for instance if Huga galaxy radius is 450 at 1K stars I want a 2.5K star 900 radius galaxy.

Alright, I was finally able to replicate the issue, without this mod running, so it has nothing to do with this. Seems to be a bug when Modular Engineering and Construction Templates are researched in rapid succession, or possibly just with Modular Engineering.

Has anybody else encountered a bug where starbase resource silos stop providing storage capacity?
I'm playing in a 3000 star galaxy, and for some reason those buildings do not produce any bonus. Planetary silos still work (Empire bonus: Storage capacity +5000), and if I start a new game starbase silos work (Empire bonus: Storage capacity +10000), but apparently something happened during this game that stripped that bonus.
I'm also using the UI dynamic overhaul mod and starbase UI overhaul mod, which shouldn't have any effect, and auto_survey_at_start, which I've been using for multiple recent playthroughs without issue.
I'm starting a new game with everything else the same to see if I can replicate the issue.

Ah! Successfully, you can play Galaxy 3000. It seems that the game patch has fixed its problem.

I was able to contact a dev on the modding discord and state my case.

Today the issue has been fixed and mentioned in the most recent hotfix. I did it!

More than 2000 stars not working in Windows, is that a 3.4 issue? I've played with more than that before.

I dont think that I can fix that issue, after trying the Windows version there seems to be nothing I can do to make it work.

For now you just have to play with 2000 stars or install Linux (in a VM)

Yes, it's all windows system. It turns off the overlord. When loading 2500size, stop in "load map" and wait for 2 minutes. There is no progress. You can only forcibly close the game without any prompt.

Yes I'm on Windows. I disabled overlord nothing change.
I don't think it's a performance problem, I had no problem to play 4000 systems before 3.4

Am I correctly assuming that you are all on Windows? Does this also happen to someone on Mac or Linux?
Could you try disabling Overlord and check if it works?

Hi, I have the same problem, the game crash at "loading map graphism", I tried with EG- Larger Galaxies and exactly the same problem.
No crash report, no other mods and crash above 2500 systems.

There is no error prompt, just stuck in "load map" and waited for 5 minutes to force exit.

Just after the test, 2000 size is OK, 2500 crashes when loading the map, other mods are not turned on, and the effect of the game is adjusted to medium effect. Maybe the update of the game is too heavy on the computer?...

all the galaxies ive made with this mod have the problem of empires with no names, and placeholder personality that should not generate. And its not like its just some of them, aside from FE and marauders, its all of them

I'm going to use this on my MSI ge76 raider 3080 laptop. I wonder if it will survive insane galaxy size mode. I am going to need it too, because I made so many empires. Let's see 372 real mods, 30+~ patches, and 93 non-intensive misc mods, will bring down my computer, with this 4000, 70+~ Empires. It'll only be running the game of course unless it can really handle it. I have faith, but I'm crossing my fingers here tbh, I hope so.

Does this mod require anything else, always crashes on startup despite having no other mods and using base game.
