A future question - will these mods be combined into one? This will make it easier to add them to the server. (It doesn't matter if you don't, it's just a little more complicated.)
thank you for your support but damn! chill mate :D
Clients will try to install mods from server list, and it will show an empty mod only info is "0mb" and won't let anyone in.
Alternatively, rename your mod to "OLD" and upload a new one "UPDATED"?
once its up in the workshop its all on valve to store it and you wont be pissing off a bunch of server owners that already have issues with mod changes while the game is running requiring people to stop a server and reboot it.
On top of this since you delete the old item im having to go though a config playing which mod id/steam id is the right one to delete with out totally screwing my server over.
Developers really need to fix the server hosting tho
i will let you all know 1,2 months before deletion. Actually, it's not your guys fault or mine.
The game devs should have taken such a thing into consideration before launching the multiplayer. they know the workshop will never be stable they need to fix their mp.
Your vanity change requires everyone to stop their server, re-edit the configuration, restart it and then have every single person re-update their client for no reason at all.
All I'm saying is abandoning code, that's fine, do as you please. But deleting code causes a lot of hassle and if you want anyone to use your mods, you might want to consider stopping that practice. Just abandon the code and move on. Harms no one. Deleting it messes everything up and makes you untrustworthy as an author
