I'm not experiencing that on my end.
The menu should close if you click either escape or insert on your keyboard or
the 'start' button on a controller.

For example, when you open it, it would show the main keys like "game", "options", "mods", etc. and then you can expand them. The edit button would then be right click, not left click.
I understand the fact that you can search for them, but I think expandable keys would be nicer.

if your things gives a error in the debugger make a local copy of the mod it will fix the mod menu not working, enjoy
