[This is a suggestion]: I was wondering if the transporter system could have an emergency transport code, you say a phrase or command in the world's chat and the transporter automatically transports you to the main transporter in the map, no matter wherever you are:
(sometimes in the series people like Wesley Crusher created a emergency transport command when the enterprise were invaded by an alien specie it transported him automatically to the transporter room.)

Also the buffer is not to store things.
It will delete your stuff after a time.
Its just for times, when you dont have enough target locations

The small transporter pad doesn't collide with anything (props, entities, the map, etc)

Everything is an entity. But i mean spawning it from the props list.
Without functionality.
You are most certainly missing the model pack.
You might be subscribed, but it is definitly not loading properly.

Probably better as a separate addon, applied via toolgun so you can add a new function to vehicles so you can vanish, move like a ghost, then reappear on a keybind(s) similar to the SCars DeLorean

It is definitly possible.
But not currently planned, since i dont enjoy those eras as much.

IDK if there already someone asked this same question lol, but I was wondering if in the future there could be also the transporter effects of The Original Series and the 2009 ones.

I found another oopsie, turns out if you die mid transport then you're trapped in limbo unable to respawn.

I've found an oopsie, turns out the single pads no longer allow you to transport players to them, however the big pad does still facilitate this function as intended. I'm uncertain what other functions may have been accidentally overriden from the single pads to the big pads.

@Obi The Buffer is a particle system not a texture.

@Soren MC Yeah pretty much. Like i said, just havent gotten around to it.

It just gets complicated due to the 3-dimensionality of it.
Just didnt get around to it yet.]

I might be wrong here, but since the screen is in 2D, the height component of the coords doesn't matter, so the pads height component could be set to the same as the transporter's when calculating the angle

Naturally another much simpler option is to just overlay the buffer box material on a client screen, turn the dematerialised entity invisible and nocollided at their current location in order to completely side-step the "buffer box" at the cost of some looks, which is why I originally suggested some kind of admin spawned buffer box entity that can just be placed somewhere on the map

I don't know what you have tried, and you may already have tried this:

I think a solution could be to; calculate the angle between the console and the pads using the following formula; "angle = atan2(y2 - y1, x2 - x1) * 180 / PI", and then rotate the digital objects on the display in relation to the centerpoint on the display

Have you considered moving the buffer outside the map border and then use the "HUDPaintBackground" hook to display the buffer enviroment? :-)

Great addon! I was wondering if you could make it so the transporter pads icons are oriented in relation to the console and not the world ( see picture in the link)

Wonder if something like this can be made for the Asgard Teleporter from Stargate since the one in CAP is relatively limited.

I am creating these Things for Multiplayer, so it is not something i have planned. But maybe somebody else will do that.

Yes i need to do that.
Currently adding range and max Pads Limits to the consoles.
Next is making the consoles themselves rooms. Didnt think of it.
Probably Naming + Private Setting in Properties Menu

oh lol, also wondering if it would be possible to make two consoles automatically "transporter rooms" so that all pads linked to that console become associated. That way it'll be possible to use this addon in a much wider scope.

Another idea would be ways to place down markers for sections, or externals?

@myself NEVERMIND, I forgot Garry's Mod is 2000 years old and you need to restart it twice for any good addon to actually work. It works quite well, thank you for making this!
