Their portraits don't appear on the custom nation creator. I think this could be because of some reccent change in the folder structures. I tried to fix it myself but without success.
Does anyone else have this problem?

Did you subscribe to your own mods? IDK if it's what does it, but usually it leads to problems updating down the line. Use a local copy to test and upload with another folder.

That would work, and indeed it does offline, but for reasons that I am unable to figure out, I can't update the mod. All the happens is that it creates a duplicate mod. Given the rate at which Stellaris gets updated, that's hardly a fix creating essentially a new mod everytime an update is rolled out by Paradox.

Just rename all mentions of 'labrat' with 'necrat' in this mod's files and you're good to go my man

I like them, but it's such a let down that they are replacing Labrats. I wanted to pit them against each other to see who's the king of the rats.

Okay, I've tried multiple times to update it, and all it does is creates a new version of the mod with the updated changes. Clearly I'm doing something wrong somewhere.

If youre updating through the paradox launcher and your mod carries the exactly name it does on this upload, then it only seems like a new upload, but it will patch this uploads files

Whats important is that the files you update match the folder you did the first upload with

I'm doing my best to try and get the damn mod updated, but every time I try all it does is create a new mod with the same name - fine for me, but less than ideal for subscribers. If anyone can advise - with clear step by step instructions (treat me as if talking to a small child or a golden retriever), then please DM me.

Hi! Are you ok if I include your mod in a large portrait patch (still requiring users of the patch to subscribe to your mod) but modifying some files to include the portraits in the default Paradox categories?

When I testing the mod before publishing it, I couldn't get it to work when I tried renaming everything to necrats. However, I will look into doing this to solve the compatibility issues. It may take a couple of days, but I hope to get it updated by the weekend (preferably sooner).

So did a quick experiment, and compatibility and function is easily achieved if all the files and their contents from necrats that still carry "labrat" is being renamed into necrat

So both for Vic20 and for users who want to use both, just mass replace every "labrat" with "necrat" and it works just fine

I see this mod mentions a inherent incompatibility between the labrats and this, would there be a way we could combine both?

(seriously im loving these and i happily deprecate my minor fixes to labrats for both of these together)
