Does anyone happen to know what mods conflict with this? As I am getting a bug where it is just appearing behind my head consistently, I have c-legs but I've disabled it unless I need to uninstall it period, Dynamic Height 2, and first person death.

How can I force this on my servers?

been using this addon a bit, havent touched it in awhile and idk what i added to cause it to mess up but every time i walk with the camera turned on it goes into my normal player camera, sorta like im looking into the back of my player model's head.
Is this caused by anything specifically known or should i try finding it myself?

So I love it, but what do some of these extra options do? What does "Lerp camera position" do.

Also, I really REALLY recommend you to play with the arrowkeys for aiming with this camera as turning left or right can be done with the keypad while walking with W and S, which is a thousand times better when walking around with a locked camera.

And I guess is even better if you play with a controller to set your D-pad to tank controls, like D-pad Up to W, Down to S, Left to left-arrow, and finally d-pad right to right-arrow.

imk. Since you are already playing with locked camera and tank controls. You might as well install the lock-on/target addon so that it also plays like OG Silent Hill or the original Resident Evil trilogy (although, if you are american and you only played on PS1, you may not be aware that the rest of the world played with auto-lockon as the devs intended lol)

Do not use the standard bind key, that does not work, it has to be BindToggle

I got it to work via console commands! Simply put this or whatever preferred key and you will be able to toggle it on and off!

Like I mean the addon, like a toggle switch on the keyboard. It's very cinematic and useful.

Yes I was gonna ask the same thing, is it possible to somehow bind this camera function to a button? That would be so convenient! Like a console command setup?

Can there be a sort of reset camera that could be bind'ed to a button? This cam in the open is a mess and sometime it's a struggle to get a good angle on what i'm trying to shoot at.

Now that someone made the Lock-on addon that we were all waiting for for 2 years, now we just need someone to make an addon that highlights interactable buttons or objects on a map. But that also ignores all doors and props.

Could you Add a Bottom so you can map a Toggle switch on the Key Board or Controller?

just takes a min to go though the Menu's and It's kinda a hassle if you get stuck on a door every time you walk though one.

@quintic I've been using this on City of Silence, grabbing the vases isn't easy but the exploration looks great with this. It's not too demanding and you can get even more frames with the Fog addon

What maps would be best with this mod?

a pain to use in half life source but good mod

The "camcorder VHS" shader also works really well with this, almost making it seem like your watching through old security footage.

Lovely mod! and a word of note the players looking to try this, i would recommend downloading "smart interactions" to pair with this. This will highlight interactible objects like doors and weapons, which will make it easier to get through maps.

Honestly you may be the reason I get back into gmod, being able to make ps1 style games and horror games.

I'm also looking for an addon to allow locking on to NPCs. I've had some success using AW Script to make headshots easier to pull off. I'd also settle for simply being able to lock up/down aiming while using this camera style.
