I ask because I've been missing a deprecated mod that did exactly that for quite a while, and I'm hoping to get an alternative someday soon. Being able to pick up friends and have them sitting in the troop transport area, and walking around on the way to the next PoI was fun, really miss being able to do that.
Personally, I'd love to see both happen! The one you have currently is wonderful in idea and isn't at all buggy once in the right spot load order wise.
While I'm unsure what it would need, as I don't mod-make myself, perhaps either keeping this one and getting/finding a new model for the astro-dolphin or the other way around? Or even coloring? Maybe certain colors for the skiff and certain ones for the dolphin?
Either way, very fun mod and one I'm going to keep an eye on, as this is very... unique from what I've been able to find.
The only other mod I'm aware of that does something like this is Ark Futurism, which had a "Hurricane" jet.
If you haven't already, even if its been stopped working on, You might want to look at it for some ideas?

I was actually thinking of starting over one day and base the Ship on the Astro dolphin Blueprint instead of the HoverSkiff.
No problem! Yeah I finally put it last just to try and that fixed it for me. I really do enjoy this! One thing I'd like to throw out there is if this could be turned into a skin for the space dolphin?
No changes to the critter, just a skin to apply to the Astro-dolphin? I find myself giggling at doing barrel rolls with this.
Not something I expect anytime in the future. Just a random idea to toss at you for you to think about.

@Joshgreymaster Thank you. Yeah it must be some other Mod before it interfering with hotheys or has Inputs set badly. I have it loaded last of 8 mods, and it works fine, although Im gonna add a hotkey config in server setting INI when Mod is out of Alpha.
Like @Jessica34 before me, awesome mod! Very fun. One thing I'd like to see either after Alpha or if it's possible now.
Some knowledge on Load order spot would be nice. I've fiddled around to try and get F1 to work, but no dice. I'm pretty certain its another mod that is messing with this, but have yet to figure out which one.
Also, perhaps in the discussion tab, could you list out hotkey combos? I really have no complaints other then the canopy not closing, and whatever mod that is conflicting simply doesn't bring it up.
Other than those minor things, again, awesome mod!
This Mod is for now an Exclusive Dedicated sever Mod.
The reason only one per tribe is allowed, is becuse its for a RP server called Exhume, but also because having so many features it would drain all the server resources, and too many at the same place would lag Clients to under 5 FPS.
Yeah the ammo storage is a kind of "cheat" storage for now so its easier for ppl to test the various ammos. Its gonna turn into a server setting later.
At any rates this is really cool and fun. Keep it up!
After getting the hang of it, They are formidable gun fighters that fortunately doesn't rival sniper range but it can shoot almost as far as Assault rifles and their bullets can shred any foolish creature or creatures that dares to face this mighty fighter ship. A pack of these combined (play controlled of course) can Level out the outer walls of a base or everything depending on how many fighters are deployed. Though they cannot fire while at max speed, once they let go of the thrusters they can drive by machinegun shots and their missiles which I find challenging to fire while moving, yet somewhat manageable the closer and more still I am vs any target.
