I just wanna say thank you for your work.

Your re-creation is really well done, but red blood seems too dark, even on very bright map.

Yellow blood seems normal, but red, i think it's too dark, barely see that is red.

If it's not hard, can you please fix this?

Anyway, thank you for this addon, it's already amazing work you've done.

I made an entire package of the 2007 particles from retail episodic releases and GMOD 10-12.

you should try and remake the hunter and strider blood to look like all the other blood particles

yeah hl2 is more advanced than gmod at this point lol

@HyperActiveStudios i also had trouble finding it recently, but you can find it easiest through the links in the 'Old Engine Textures: Extended' mod

does anyone know where the old engine ragdoll physics mod went?

Could be in some small patch they can do in 5 or 9 minutes, I have no idea how these things work.

Would be really really neat though, if we get that setting added.

Yeah I'll credit you. Though I'm not 100% sure I'll be able to make the edit after all, the CS:S/Gmod 10 blood droplets streak so far that I don't know if it can really be emulated that closely after all. I'm honestly hoping we just get some of the HL2 20th Anniversary settings in Gmod in general, but probably not.

Ok I don't know if you care anymore, but if you increase the speed at which the little "palm tree" droplets come out, and increase their drag, you can emulate the effect that the original blood has where it comes out long and ends short. Edit the gravity a little, and you'll probably end up even closer to the original blood effect. Also, I think old Garry's Mod (at least Gmod 10) used CS:S's blood instead of HL2's, where the only difference was pretty much the size. Do you care if I edit your mod to try to recreate the Gmod 10/CS:S blood?

I wonder if you can now port the original blood effects to GMOD now after the 20th anniversary of Half Life 2?

It works now. You probably have an addon that has the hl2 blood particles overwritting the addon

They don't work, only normal particles appear.

Nevermind an Update just fixed it it's fine now

it still works on my end? maybe check your mods

it was last updated 2 years ago i don't think it's gonna get updated soon

The June update just broke all mods that replace the blood particles. You will have to patiently wait for the mod to update

This addon never worked for me, or the old engine water particles sadly.
Reinstalling, deleting all conflicting addons, nada. Still the stinky Orange Box particles.
Not saying the addon's bad, it looks good (can't experience it myself )

@soujitou_85 shouldnt have conflicts with ragblood, that mod uses custom particles but they shouldn't conflict

you have to copy the effects folder from materials folder in half life 2 or else it will render an incorrect sprite
