@Jon Sneh You're right. It's a vanilla problem. I've traced it and brought it to the devs.

Unrelated to beds, but could you take a look at the performance of the genes tab? The performance of the game absolutely tanks when recombining genes or making a xenotype, especially with mods that add more genes due to the amount of genes in the menu. The issue is very reminiscent of how the needs tab or beds slowed down the game so I'm sure the game is doing some expensive check way too many times per second. Seems to be right in your area of expertise

Well, let's make some clarifications. Devs changed the part of the code in bed in 1.4, looks fine to me. Without dubs performance analyzer, I can't really know the impact and whether it is needed in 1.4.

The solution without this mod is just to pause whenever you dealt with beds.

I rarely review mods but felt like I had to. The laggy bed/workshops has been as issue since forever.
This just works!
More than tripled my fps when a bed is selected (previously dipped as low as 45, now stable 144).
This is now a must-have, great mod and thanks

If you have mods that add more linkable objects for beds, then you might experience the lag that this mod fixes.
