Hey guys. Apologies to everyone. I don't really play this game anymore, and it is really hard to keep up with all the hotfixes that keep coming out. I'll see if I can push out some updates this weekend.

This doesn't work anymore, not even when you roll the game beta back to 5.0 :)
(And yes I've unsubbed and resubbed to update like Levie suggested)

Okay I updated both submods. They should be able to load now without crashing. You may need to unsub and resub to force the update.

It works with out your full armor submod. Would you be able to update the submod? Some really tops work on these units!

Yeah did that and was still getting CTD at start up.

the hotfix seems to have broken this mod hope it gets fixes soon cuse i love it so much

Thanks! They must have changed that in the last hotfix. Seemed fine before then.

It's still crashing. Replace mp_cap_group_extended_roster_chaos_marked_unit with mp_cap_group_mark_of_chaos, it will permanently CTD for everyone without this.

Updated for patch 2.2. No changes made at this time.

With the buff to Hellscourge units in patch 2.2, this custom unit is now the most expensive Warrior variant but I am okay with that fact for now.

If you have any trouble with the mod, try unsubscribing from this mod and then re-subscribing.

i wonder if its possible to make this unit an upgrade to chosen like marked aspiring champions for slaanesh only one who has them so far is blue man and i love this look so much very great mod

Fresh update!

- Warriors of Excess are now available for recruitment with Warriors of Chaos through Slaanesh Marks.
- They now be effected by Chaos Warrior effects and technologies instead of Marauder. (Still testing)
- Balance Pass to make them more in line with the new Chaos Warrior of Slaanesh variants.
-- Now has Mark of Slaanesh Attribute (Strider, 10% physical resist)
-- Reduced cost from 1000 to 900.
-- Reduced upkeep by 25.
-- They are now considered Tier 2 (from Tier 3) and are considered slightly less quality (from 8 to 7).

^ Initial testing seems to show decent balance even though Warriors of Excess basically got a buff across the board.

Mod updated for 2.0!

- Removed the Daemonic Progression unlock to follow Creative Assembly's design change to have ALL mortal units unlocked from turn 1.
- Changed unit name to "Warriors of Excess" since we now have official "Chaos Warriors of Slaanesh" from Creative Assembly.

To do list:
- Add unit to new (and old) Warriors of Chaos factions.
- Balance pass.
- Slightly more appearance variations thanks to new assets.

@Overlord I just did a quick test and was able to unlock them with Daemon Prince by turn 23 (though I probably could have done it sooner if I optimized my turns better).

You need to have a Tier 3 settlement and Slaaneshi Shrine (Tier 3 basic military building), along with 880+ Slaanesh Glory.

I'm not how well this works when loading the mod in the middle of an existing save.

Also make sure you don't have any conflicting mods.

Not unlocking when playing the demon prince.

@KingSnack I used wh3_main_vo_actor_Slaanesh_Hellstrider. I guess I got lucky in that they don't actually mention "Hellstriders" in the VO. I don't know that I did anything special.

Update!

I added a proper Daemonic Progression unlock for these units while playing as the Daemon Prince. They will now unlock with 880 Slaanesh favor. (As opposed to being unlocked on turn 1). Special thanks for Shadowman for helping me out with this!

In other news...
Creative Assembly is adding their own Chaos Warriors and Chosen of Slaanesh with their 2.0 patch that comes out in August. Their models look great, but I am disappointed in the lack of skin. Therefore, I've decided to continue supporting this mod.

I'm going to rename this unit to something like "Devoted Warriors of Slaanesh" and keep them as an option to recruit along side Creative Assembly's official Chaos Warrior models.

This should be easy to complete for N'kari and the Daemon Prince when the patch drops. Warriors of Chaos will likely take some additional time as I'll need to learn how to mod around the new recruitment mechanics that is coming out with the patch.

Feel free to make a sfo mod. I don't play with sfo so I wouldn't know where to start.

i really hope sfo submods get made for these cool mods

Hey Levie, what unit did you choose for the voice lines for these guys, they never mention hellstridors when you select them im curious as to how you got them to only say a select few voice lines.

@Levie - I've been working on a large compilation of different Chaos Warrior mods, totalling more than 20 units across all 5 chaos factions, which includes both this, along with works by several different mod creators and myself. Currently its purely for personal use, but with your permission (and that of the other authors whose work has been included) i'd like to make it public. Obviously full credit and recognition would be given to all contributors, along with links to the original work.
