- love the little platforming in the beginning
- love the cramped finale holdout by the church (but maybe one gascan / propane or one throwable placed in this area would be nice)
- not sure if its my video settings but the sun keeps appear and disappearing during the cliff section
- I played this Lost Coast demo long time ago and I dont remember the map details and layout, but I suggest for a radio call / ringing the church bell instead of (whatever that was) and changing the helicopter.mdl with the ones featuring a pilot
- being a direct port of an old demo for an old game, I cant complain about the bland texture and all but I guess it would be much more enjoyable with a facelift of the map layout (depending on your vision and goals of this port of course)
- also notice a small missing texture pixel in a small path behind the supply dump
Can easily run out of ammo during the horde event and get fucked by the Tank otherwise. If you're not experienced that is.
But another thing that bugs me is the fog color/distance. Why is it skin colored? Why not make it the color of what it is in the original map?
I removed the 3d skybox (or skybox objects as you called) for a reason. if you look into the decompiled lost coast map, the 3d skybox is even larger than the playable area.
It just takes too much time to compile all of them, and it's just not worth it.
Skyboxes are necessary for sealing the map, and the outdoor lighting, so yeah, they do have the purpose.
Then might as well remove all the skyboxes from all the other campaigns, because they serve no purpose either, right?
