Russian here: "автомат" in terms of weapons is "assault rifle", but russian classification uses same term for assault carbines as well. Meaning that AK-74 (rifle) and AKS-74U (carbine) are both named "автомат". Basically, if it uses intermediate rifle rounds and is automatic, it is avtomat.
Also, I needed to start my game to check, but Assault Rifle (which is M4, if I recognize it correctly) has sights while your sprite doesn't.
