After shoulder aim, i always sprint.. whats the problem here? it's like shift and right mouse button are the sprint key

Would you be able to help me with something I'm trying to do? I've got a script that causes the player's FOV to zoom in when they press mouse2 in a sort of "aim" similar to WWZ. I have the script, but I can't get the player's speed to return to normal after releasing the button.

no, you didnt understand, like, i just press shift and it auto runs, if i press shift again it walks, without the need of holding the button

Bind W to slow walk and shift to walk normally, no need to sub to this mod. enjoy

Ah yeah this is it, but if there's no fix I'll probably just stick to vanilla, thank you though :)

@Tradewind actually "sprinting" is the vanilla movement speed, this mod basically swap speed behavior fast-to-slow to slow-to-fast of Shift button.

Once activated the script, holding Shift make you go faster in "all direction" - which includes strafing movement. Yet there possibly chance strafing cause losing sprint for unknown reason.

Sorry if this still not the mod you are looking for.

Is there any way to let us strafe quickly while "sprinting" too? I'm mainly interested in this mod for tactical reasons but I find with L4D2 it's important to be able to move quickly when specials are around

Also, it sucks we can't change the walking speed in this game. I just find the walking speed too slow for L4D2's gameplay even WITH the slow zombies mods.

Dude, @Rakel 's code is a direct fix to the sprint stop issue. You should credit him. I'm using his script and its way smoother using with his code combined with this mod. I'm able to use WASD while constantly holding shift and it doesn't cancel my sprint just because i changed movement inputs.

I have this combined with so many mods, lol. My l4D2 almost feels like a different game, entirely.

Btw, you can bind <key> "exec ***.cfg" to exec config by pressing key, too.

the only way to preventing this from happening is to walk around FIRST when loading in a map (when the slow walk isn't working yet) then hit the SHIFT

Note: i'm looking at the codes currently to have a fix for this problem

Wouldn't the whole thing be easier if you just made it so that the walk key works in reverse so that the key is enabled by default and when you hold it, then it turns off the key while being held down?

@Murasaki can confirm it happens to me sometimes too when binding the key.
You need to perform full clean-up of the keybinds: leave to Main Menu and unbind everything (command "unbindall") and use Restore to Default settings. Then restarts the game, load map, test Default settings first, execute the scripts, press F6 and press Shift.

I gave the code to 3 of my friends and it worked perfectly fine, so you may need to check if WASD and Shift are not used by any other mods and the codes are copied without missing a single command.

I like the concept of this one, but I noticed something when I tried it, whenever I press shift while moving forward, any other directional button applied after that causes me to walk I again which prevents me from strafing while "sprinting". I don't know if I'm doing something wrong tho
