I haven't found any use for ministers and war wagons, but otherwise I enjoyed this faction very much. Culverins feel overpowered but on the other side, there are factions, that start with skills like creativity...I guess it checks out overall. Pretty good, you should try!

Seems reasonably well balanced! I played through a 5-Ai game on normal and found it about as easy to win as with one of the vanilla factions. If I had a criticism I think the Howitzer is a little too Culverin+1, its not bad, just a little boring for a capstone.

The name is a reference to Louis XIV, Le Roi Soleil (The Sun King) in case anyone is wondering. The faction itself is a mix of Early Modern European armies, primarily Britain and France. The palace they use for their town is my attempt at creating something evocative of Versailles.
