It seems that, while the building are using silver, the crafting recipes (at least those for the fabrication bench, didn't check the others) are still using Septims.
IT WORKS! <3
Tough decisions...
Maybe someone will make a patch for the big mods I guess or maybe I will when I get time who knows.
In the end, if one doesn't mind "melting" the good ol' septims into those few buildings that used to need silver, it doesn't really change much.
Patching every single big mod to use ReplacedSilver instead of Silver would be hell and against the simplistic nature and intention of this quality of life / roleplay mod.
Silver floors, research counters from Vanilla Furniture Expanded etc.

My deduction for why it could be happening:
From what I can see in the XML files:
Patch makes it so the label, description and texture of silver(vanilla) is replaced with the according septim-related things. It also makes it so mineable silver ore(vanilla) drops ReplacedSilver(non-vanilla).
Replaced silver has the same properties as the old silver, pretty much.
The original silver has almost the same properties as in vanilla but with <stuffProps> removed, so it won't be used in any stuffable recipes.
Wouldn't that still mean that <defName>Silver</defName> would be used for fixed recipes rather than <defName>ReplacedSilver</defName>?
If I can find the reason, I'll let you know.
I'm pretty sure actually replacing the currency (as in item / ThingDef) used in trade situations would involve C# though, if it's possible at all.
Absolutely amazing stuff.
