help can't get rid of the crtl + 1 camera position, anyone have an idea how to delete it?

@DerZäpp Hooray! I assume that those buildings have broken meshes which would in turn break the render groups. Mystery solved - that was a very obscure one!

@algernon I have solved it! :)))))

So I loaded a new game on the same map and the issue wasn't there. Furthermore I noticed that the glitch also makes trees dissappear, but the trees did not dissappear if there weren't any buildings in site. So I came to the conclusion that some of the buildings had to be ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

It turns out that was just the case, to be precise: Sould Tower, Gold Coast and Teatro Colón , Buenos Aires. I didn't really know how to do what you have suggested so I invested this afternoon in deleting all buildings one by one with move it and control + z if they were clear.

Soul tower made them dissapear from the flat angle; a shame really, was my favourite skyscraper in the workshop... The teatro Colon isn't that serious compared to the Soul Tower. It caused the same issue however only when moving the camera into a building.

I would have NEVER guessed those as I really love using the both of them and have already done so on several occasions. Everything works fine now.


Thank you for your immense help man. Without all those experiments you have had me do I would have probably given up believing in a complicated issue I would not be able to solve. All this trouble assesment really got me overthinking everything I thought to have found out about the glitch and in the end we solved it :D

Aloha algernon, do I recall correctly that there has already been discussion around disabling zooming into things when they are followed. When hitting the pin button on a vehicle it causes the camera to zoom in on that vehicle and that is undesirable behavior for my use. However, I seem to remember you saying a while back that this would be difficult to address.

@DerZäpp I doubt it's the map itself, although the save file could potentially have issues. What happens if (in a copy of that city) you delete all those buildings and replace?

Can i suggest another feature :-)
A 'Hide HUD' toggle so the menu bars are not shown in normal play, but otherwise works normally so you can click cims/vehicles and as an example engage vanille follow mode.

I have just verified the gane files on steam as well as implemented the launch parameter. Loading the save file with visibility control and prop control results in the same outcome.
It is true that my PC is getting outdated, actually I am aiming to get a new one as my current one has difiniteöy seen better times. However that still does not explain to me what is happening since this issue started since I loaded the map with buildings I have used before and with mods I have used before.

There is some new information though: Since this was so peculiar I actually started a new game for testinig on a vanilla map. EVERYTHING works fine. Could there be an underlying issue with the map I am using on my city that has problems?

@DerZäpp That's very strange, as those two mods have been written - and confirmed by extensive testing - to work fine together, and should not cause the issue you've describing.

What you're describing there is leading me more towards a base-system issue rather than any mods. Have you verified your game files with Steam? Are your graphics drivers up-to-date? Have you tried using the "-force-d3d9" launch parameter?

@algernon alright so after testing what felt like an entire afternoon I can now safely say that the described issue is due to to "Prop Control" AND "Visibility Control" mods. Having either one of them or both turned on did not produce a change in the way the glitch manifests itself. Well, at least I didn't spot anything different.

However, please don't ask me the why's and how's that happens to be. It is not my first map with both of them actually and they never been a cause for concern in the past. I have no idea. Perhaps since they are your mods you have something up your sleeve?

After turning those mods off though, despite the "dissappearing-issue" being fixed, I now suffer from severe flickering from certain camera angles and heights. This did NOT and does NOT happen with those two mods turned on. As of now I frankly didn't yet manage to find the cause of this next curious happening. This game is really keeping us on our toes, isn't it? haha

@algernon Well there are some that Skyve has some suggestions on. However it does not send off any warnings as in incompatibilities or mods I should seriously unsubscribe to. Guess I will do some tedious checking then haha. I'll let ypu know once I found the nod causing the issue.

Seriously though, thank you for your help so far. You have no idea how mich time I have spent designing this city. Even though there is not much built yet it is fully designed and I even mapped out the public transport in meticulous fashion. Thank you! :)

@DerZäpp There's too many possibilities for that, mostly old and outdated mods that often have other issues as well. Have you checked your mods against Skyve's recommendations?

@DerZäpp Okay, the next thing to look at is mod settings. If you remove all mods except for Harmony, Loading Screen Mod, and this one, does the problem persist?

The render groups could have become invalid sometime after you fine tuned them. The test would be to select them and use Move It to nudge them the tiniest bit one direction. You can even nudge them slightly up then slightly down so they are in the exact same spot in the end.

Although I am not in game now I can assure you that moving them with move it doesn't fix it. I have moved them several times to place them the way they are now.

I might wanna add that that I once had a similar problem with an 8L Boulevard from the workshop that made all streets go invisible so you could even see the void. However, once I replaced them with other ones the problem vanished.
Still I doubt whether it correlates since in this build I had the problem from the very first building on even though I have used and trusted that building for years already. I just kept on building assuming that the problem could be resolved.

Hi :) It just so ocurrs I am having a glitch where buildings visually dissappear depending on the camera angle. Actually, it is so bizarre that I've been told in the forum you'd probably be the only one who could help.

Would it be possible add a feature where when double clicking a cim/vehicle that the follow mode is automaticly activated?
Ideally this would also work when in cinematic mode.

Would it perhaps make sense to change that to this mod instead since it seems the more relevant mod (assuming it is compatabel)

@algernon i couldnt play this game without your mod. i need to be able to zoom in and out to cursor. don't understand why this isn't a default option. i bought CS2 for about a year now. and they still have it to scroll to center of screen. don't know the purpose of that is. is there any chance that you will be making a scroll to cursor for CS2? the game is useless to me without it

Mods are our curse in a way. I'm currently now trying to figure out what mod started to suddenly cause a crackling sound which either kills the game sound or just instantly CTDs me. Lot of fun!

@wraithrider For some reason when I enable this mod know it just does not work. It does not affect game play and I can load my saves but the UI for the mod are just non existed.

@Trucker1709 I'm not sure what you mean by "reset the camera", but if you want to clear all the mod's settings then delete the file ACME.xml in your local settings folder.

Hello, is there a way to completely reset the camera? I know there is a rotation reset, but that doesn't help. My camera is messed up and i'm not sure of the cause and using ACME I cannot fix it.

@Arliandro Error messages are meaningless without the full output log , and many users are using both (despite it being advised generally to not use MOM and instead use the replacement asset pack, as MOM is known to have a number of issues and has been abandoned).

Cool! Good to hear, great mod btw! Another idea (if it's not already a thing) would be an option to limit camera tilt. I use the middle mouse button and I don't have much use for tilting the camrea towards the sky into the negative values. And extreme tilt angles make MoveIt! harder to use.
