@soulware I didn't had any Half-Life 2 episodes yet at the time when I made this map, I just had the main Half-Life 2 itself.

check if you are using half life 2: episode textures zsomber, as the errors still happen

the whole ground for this map is an error to me, including the arrows and barrel and i have gmdoom installed, do need to mount games like css?

theres a mod that has the whole alphabet of hl2 letters, because in base hl2, there is only like 5 letters (plus 2 russian letters). the creator must have had this mod installed (at least at the time) and looked through the props and found the models (this is possible because usually you use the hammer editor that comes with gmod, and not in any other source games.) im just making a theory though, as the author will most likely show the answer

@EpicMusicalSniper(Epic) Sorry, this is not the right place to ask about that. This is just a map to use with gmdoom to spawn in Doom levels, nothing else.

why is the gmdoom sign errors? i have a few games mounted including css and all the half life games.

Toggle texture application on (Shift+A by default), select a face (the upper one) and click "Displacement" in the menu that appeared. Then click "Create" there.

Well it shouldn't be bumpy after all. It is cheaper to draw than brushes which means that with displacements and tools/toolsskybox you're gonna get the most optimized map ever.

@Darkness I don't want any bumpiness either, a flat ground is enough. My original goal was: save as much fps with the base map as possible ‒ spawned Doom levels can really take down the fps, you know.

Displacements are bumpy ground like in gm_construct's main field. https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Displacement

@Darkness Uhh, what's "displacements"? I don't know what that is. 😐
Anyway, this is just a huge brush box with about 5 unit thick walls, and everything on the thumbnail image is unmovable props. The sky is "2D skybox", I think this not need anything more.
The goal was to create a base map which is almost completely empty and has enough space even for the biggest Doom map to spawn in properly. ☺

Nice. Is it all displacements? Cuz they're cheaper to draw than brushes.
