Hello, me again from forever ago, just checking up on how uploading the high-res copies of the new waves of backgrounds is going. I also forgot I asked so no harm done, but it would be nice.

This is because the VBE (Vanilla Backgrounds Expanded) module, during initialization, attempts to find a key named -1§Vanilla in the RimThemes image resource. However, this key does not exist in the dictionary, causing a crash.

Hi, currently this mod doesn't seem to be properly working with rimthemes. The rimtheme menu always overrides this mod's background, regardless of load order and settings (be it rimthemes' or this one's).

Could add light posterization (maybe with added noise overlays beforehand to reduce banding) to improve filesize and loading, maybe with that as a fork or something

Running this as part of a modpack on my Mac, and the button to open the folder for my own images doesn't work. Anyone know where I could copy pictures to so that the mod still picks up my own backgrounds? Apple M2 chip and Sequoia 15.5 OS. Cheers.

@itznitro no, his images in 4k are uploaded to a drive, its just the drive that hasn't been updated. The Awakening background is apparently from a WIP mod project that was paused or something about archotech stuff but guy went and got the background for this mod, yet didn't offer it standalone.

A: Yes! Simply put it in Videos/ instead of Textures/ and make sure to use .webm. Other than that, it's exactly like using image backgrounds.

Dont want to be too persistent but well, seeing how the last there was about this topic was june of 2024, i am not really hopeful here. I honestly don't mind if its in the patreon or anything, i just want the background for wallpaper, its simply THAT amazing and I'm pretty sure many can agree.

The ship in Obligation has an enormous shadow, and it's really annoying me, because it implies that either that ship is enormous, or the sun is like two inches from it.

same problem @BlondishMeat61 my custom animated backgrounds show up as thin gray boxes despite (as far as i can tell) placing them where they should

also where is the videos folder? it isn't in the workshop folder or locallow.

are webm backgrounds working for anyone else? when i try to use them it just appears grey in the menu and causes errors.

Interestingly getting the same problem with the red question mark background since today.

There was a problem with the mod. When loading RimWorld itself, instead of the background from the mods, a white background with a red question mark appears.

hi, i converted a video to webm and put it into my backgrounds folder but the video isn´t working ingame. Does the webm file need to fullfill specific requierements like size or something like that?

Not every background seems to be in the drive, I was looking specifically for the awakening background

Hi, first of all, I like this mod, something I always wanted.
Now I have a question: Is it possible or maybe planned to be able to create something like a playlist? So I just need to load the playlist for the slideshow and the backgrounds will be automatically selected and deselcted. I ask because I like to change the images in rotation often and that would be a nice feature if I could create some lists depending on which images I want. Sorry if it is already integrated and I am just to blind to see that feature.

Is there a Mod that removes the Windows with all your Mods during the Loading? Kinda pointless to have the nice backgrounds if your loading screen is 80% covered by the pointless window of mods.

I have these as my laptop's desktop backgrounds slide show, eleven and a third out of three pi.

The drive doesn't have every background available in the mod?

If anyone is getting sub 20 fps or lower its probably because of a conflict with this mod and RimThemes. Using "Dubs Performance Analyzer" mod I found the mod to be destroying fps in the GUI section. Removed the mod, and everything is buttery smooth again. I'm using a medieval theme with RimThemes. Not sure what went wrong, but just thought I'd let anyone know if they FPS went to crap, try removing this mod to see if its the issue.

This mod conflicts with the Character Editor. When the sorting of this mod is above the Character Editor, it will cause all UI in the main menu to be unable to open
