People will take a side, even if everyone is lying, forcing to effectively suicide for nothing, like how well Combine does its rule in canon(HL2RP servers also do this but on meta scale), and how humans are forced to form underground groups and live with fear but also constant will to live.

Basically this is City 17 right now, alongside repeating HL2 plot, I have to hope that a underground movement can help me to get a new chance of future...While facing the risk of being killed abroad, because being born is being a collaborator in their minds.

I served in the Russian military in 2014 and, boy, this was not a fun time to serve. Waking up every day fearing that putin would start a war with Ukraine for pettiest of reasons, a sister country where I still have relatives and friends.

Hm. That's what I already seen, but touchy things will be made by someone else, if not me, in fact, many other things that were "normal" are now "unfortunate", see "Duty vs Freedom" example earlier. Or Combine vs humans. Basically anything can now have implications, and you can't stop people from doing so, because there's folk who fight fire with fire.

People will do whats hot in real life, no matter how touchy it is, so I have my worries about it. Be thankful that I am willing to hear others, you would be lucky to see anyone do the same. But everyone, myself included is going to bear with the fact touchy and controversial things are only more to come this time not from me, but from others.

During its creation I had other plans of reversing the roles, but then I realized it would be extremely terrible viewpoint, so I didn't did that, and for good reason.

So yes, the controversial addons have a hard time succeeding currently, and so am I, meaning I that I'm more busy working to get a future rather than being involved in this mess, or making addons - but if possible, I'll try to make people happy later on, just don't force me to pick a side or leave insulting comments on my profile that will do the opposite and will result in me not making anything anymore at worst.

I can only hope this mess ends soon. I do not want to die to either side, or become a combine unit/stalker in real life, since it is the worst that can happen to anyone...

Apparently, the reaction to things from either of side seems to be mixed; some explicitly say its for the one side, some say its against another, but to make it clear - it did not meant to offend either of them and pose "us vs them"(since one side is always hostile)narrative, more of "hypothetical situation".

So the person who wrote about similarity of Combine of that in very first comment is implying this, and I thought everyone would follow the same....And I always knew that this thing is very, very controversial and people will fight over each other at right and wrong.
