I have a weird problem. Whenever a Combine Soldier NPC walks around in my game, the NPC will have footsteps that are the exact same sound as the player, no change in the footstep sounds at all. Any help?

You don't "need them " but spawn platforms make them speak like they do in hl2

Mods are personal level, whatever you want works. Just make sure it squads up the NPCs and/or gives spawned soldiers footsteps. They sound like they actually have a shitload of gear on like that.

You need any addon that puts the Combine into squads. I recommend Combine Improved and Combine Units +

i dont know if its because this addon but when i hear soldiers walk it just make some real weird sounds that literally rape your ears . Are there some conflicting addons?

Yeah, that's why I added that flatline. I never understood why the civil protection units had a life monitor and the soldiers didn't.

I like the sounds, especially the flatline. It reminds me of the metrocops, except in a more "Hey, this guy was b@d@ss, not like them humans in suits" kind of way. Though, I've become too attached to the default radio bleep to sacrifice it over to normal pre-war sounding radio comms. Nice work!

i just found out you need to quit garrys mod and then..the mod works it should say that in the Description

The problem with the footsteps is NOT his fault, and he probably cant fix it. Gmod if you've never noticed does not have footsteps for combine soldiers, CPs, and maybe some others - and this just replaces some of those sounds. I've tried to fix that for myself but it didn't work. I dont think anyone knows how to fix it, so yeah.

Works good - not your fault for footsteps and speaking - I request you apply this to the Zombine.

I Have Placed Around 5 at a time close to eachother but still nothing,
We have the Groups mod but it just doesnt appear in the server, so thats usless,

In Half-Life 2, the game assigns them different squad aliasis ex: "Echo," "Delta," etc.

When they're in this group they speak their dialogue and will speak orders, etc.

When there's only one soldier he will not speak, he will only make death noises.

What do you mean "Be in a squad"?

Get NPC Platforms, or NPC groups or something. They need to be in a squad to give out their military dialogue.

@SGT.JOKER Its probably because they arent in a squad. As a combine unit I know that a group of seperate units arent on the same frequency.
