does your character lower his night vision goggles when you press the on/off button? Maybe i trippin' but i saw it somewhere, just maybe.

is there a way to make it quiet? i was doing a stealth attack on some enemy survivors in my friend group and the sound is so ridiculously loud it jumpscared everyone on the server

It worked fine for me yesterdat, but today it doesn't work. It's like the night vision turns off as soon as I try to turn it on.

well it seems it only changes vision cone when you're walking(and its still so small wouldnt say it makes that much of a difference), it doesnt change vision cone when your character sits in a car.

So can we go over what's wrong with the mod for future installers? Is it just not usable when the condition is 0 and also does the nightvision button stay turned on during certain times? (referring to allex's comment)

We already found a duct-tape fix, but the developer is AWOL, so the mod is likely to get worse over coming updates

I figured out the problem. Somehow, the default key bind, which is 'N', turns on and off the night vision goggles at the exact same time. I think its due both arsenal gunfighter and the night vision mod using the same key. Change the key bind on either the options of in game menu (the one that shows character, health, etc) to something else, i used the letter 'o'. It works now.

Yeah, when I will get back to playing PZ, probably when the next big update drops, I will not re-install this. Will likely only get more broken, and the creator is AWOL.

A zombie attacked my character and the equipment fell to the ground, but the filter remained active and the [N] key didn't work (But I didn't test if it was working beforehand). Um zumbi atacou meu personagem e o equipamento caiu no chçao, mas o filtro continuou ativo e a tecla [N] não funcionou (Mas eu não testei se ela estava funcionando antes).

if nv goggles has 0 condition.. does the night vision still function?

Can confirm @M4TIx12's solution works for solo as well, I did a quit and load in stead of server restart.

Now let's hope the mod creator returns and fixes things properly..

I basically disabled all bindings that use the "N", leaving those options without keys, and then I bound the "N" again to the mod (as it is originally) and then assigned other keys, under no circumstances should the "N" key overlap

I think I fixed it temporarily, but without any errors, first deactivate all the keys that use the "N" (including the mod, I left the "No Key" option when pressing "ESC", then restart the server, mod I put the "N" back in and it seems to work without errors (I'm not sure if you understand me, I'm using Google Translate)

I posted on his profile, but I just checked, all four of his mods were last updated march 2022, so I think he's out of the modding game, sadly.

OK, so I bound the key only in options, with the one in character panel set to [backspace], NV still works, but errors keep popping up..

NVM, it works but I see errors popping up. So, working, but not perfectly.

OK, FOR ANYONE HAVING TROUBLE:

Just worked this out myself.

First; [N] is also [start engine] in vehicle, so if you want to use NV in vehicle, change the keybind to something else. (I chose [K] and deleted the keybind for show FPS, because I never use it).

Then, how to:

NV worked, but wouldn't turn off again. I found out that the keybind is BOTH in the options menu, as well as in the character info panel, all the way in the right tab (you can scroll right). I changed the one in the character info panel to [K] and deleted the one in the options menu, and now it works perfectly!

is this working in 2023? i think night vision is broken in current build idk

Mod doesen`t work :/ idk why. I have all mods but when i press "N", i hear the sound of activating night vision, but filter is not work. Nothig change.

1: this mod need brita armor mods (dont need it but you need it for the full experience)
2: it works 100% fine (if work perfectly if you create a new world)
3: is 100% recomienda and need to change the default Letter to turn on the night vision (the default Letter is N but you need to change it)
4: the noices (effects) of this mod are petty annoying and that but work fine.
5: yes it work in multiplayer
