Mhwyoshi: The variables you're supposed to copy into the Custom Data of your programmable block will allow you to determine that. "YAW" controls turning left and right. Pitch controls whether you're pointed above or below the horizon. Roll is how canted you are compared to the horizon. Is the left or right side higher than the other.

Am I able to allow this to be able to pitch and y’all but not have a roll and by that I mean prevent it from rolling over side to side, but not preventing it from turning left and right and moving upwards and downwards with the front of the ship, all the back stays in the same area

nevermind! i tried renaming and making a named group, once i started reading the script i realised it was in the settings of the cockpit xD i would probably edit your description the following way.

instead of:
2. Mark main cockpit as "Main cockpit"
to:
2. in terminal menu (K-menu), check the box "main cockpit" of your chosen cockpit

Im only getting Main cockpit not found, how do you "mark" the main cockpit?
