We all know diesel is consumed slower but the game doesn't see it that way.

So we have a line to check (I can hazard a guess) and a missing argument (?) to format (???), meaning I have things I can chase up in the files. I've also used the recent "errorMagnifier" mod that's released which, on checking it's notes, gave me this line to check as well.

So one file to check, an error to find the argument for and some lines to look at. It's not much, but it's the teeth of something.
#1: I have ZERO clue what it is I'm actively trying to accomplish here and really need to check on how a lot of the coding in Zomboid works to make sense of it.
#2: One thing that FuelAPI has that the compatibility doesn't is a sandbox_options txt doc that has various rules in place for how the barrels work in the overworld (max capacity, random fuel amount, can lift with fuel in). I did initially theorise that it could be that the compatible barrels were missing the data from that options list resulting in the barrels not having any capacity data and not working, but simply copying over the txt file from FuelAPI didn't help and the barrels are still bugged.
Still, I'm gonna learn and I'm gonna keep trying, I have two barrels at my base and a fuel station only a small jump from base, so testing won't be a big issue for now.
already in the sound settings turn off the buggy sound, for this in the objects column you need to turn off the sound of CanisterAddFuelSiphon

уже в настройказ звука выключить забагованный звук, для этого в графе объекты нужно выключить звук у CanisterAddFuelSiphon
hey man, how did u fix the sound bug? can u please tell me, is very annoying the hear that sound non stop. :)))
