I don't think you understand what the word canon means. The canon exile has been confirmed to be female since like 2006. And after that she appears in the Revan novel and in SWTOR.

Your character in the game can be male, that is unrelated to the canon version of the character who appears in other content.

My exile is male, and that is canon

I needed to put the mod file in the Restored content mod folder's override folder. Very odd but oh well

I can't get this mod to work. It worked two years ago but when I go to play again today, the portrait has the right hair color but the character is still blonde. I even took the files from the workshop folder and copied them to the game's override folder.

Any help would be appreciated.

Does this one have the blue eyes? Because I don't have the blue eyes.

It's weird. Prior to her appearance in The Old Republic, she was described as brown-haired.

I suspect that they got her mixed up with Atris in color scheme, and then the whole force ghost thing didn't help.

heretic5 you probably have something else that overrides the changed model.

I can't get this to work. The portrait is correct, but the character model itself remains unchanged. Tried subscribing after all other mods and also tried pulling the content from the workshop folder to the override folder.

Replace. They override the same file so they are mutually exclusive, and whichever one you subscribed to last will load last and be applied.

So is this to replace the old canon exile mod? Or do I install this one on top of the old one?

Like this mod better than the original canon exile mod. You don't have to move around files for it to be compatible with TSLRCM. Also very nice that it is upscaled, Love that!
