It would be nice to have a expended mod support and max population, also ALL civ just stop using monsters and some stop upgrade their armor but I really love that you actually add aztec in the game they fit perfectly unlike that trash from retold dlcs and you not replacing chinese or adding idiotic mechanic for them so thanks!

hey so i was wondering, i did not know that you were doing a second war of the speaker. i was wondering, if i remember correctly, that once you did the first war of the speakers campaign, you were going to start working on the Mayan factions. is that the case or have things change? are they getting worked on?

To play as an Aztec God on a Random Map, first play as Shennong and after the game loads, click your Town Center or Villager to find buttons you can click to switch to an Aztec God. You have 10 seconds to do so or else you will be playing as Shennong.

This mod is AMAZING! Had a blast playing and the Aztec god powers are all very interesting and quite strong. Great design!

While making a "japanese pirates" type civ is not really in the cards for this mod, a stand-alone scenario (I'm imagining a "Francis Drake" from AoE2 & 3 style scenario?) depicting such a battle is certainly conceivable, esp if you're willing to help with the modeling (the thing we most desperately need). Love this addition! Feels amazingly authentic to the culture and lovingly made by the creator, with excellent attention to detail. Vitalizes the game and gives me a reason to pay attention to the nuances each Pantheon wields in order to win! The myth units are also incredibly intriguing, with unique abilities and strengths. I would be very eager and interested in seeing the alternative armory (the name slips my mind right now) be a little more fleshed out and developed in terms of how to integrate it into the Aztec strategy.

era.maya.98 : To ensure the mod updated correctly, you may have to: 1) Exit AoM, 2) Open a file explorer to your AoMEE directory, and delete the Return of the Gods Beta folder (by default it's: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Age of Mythology\mods\The Return of the Gods Beta). 3) Launch AoMEE again. 4) The main menu will prompt you to "continue anyway" or "restart", choose restart. 5) Possibly, step 4 will need to be repeated several times in a row.

When an update occurs, you have to let the mod restart when you load up Age of Mythology in order to get it working again.

Something seems to have broken in the most recent build. Every time I play and choose an Aztec civilization, it turns everyone else into Shennong, which then don't ever age up or attack.

seems kinda pointless now huh seeing theres a new Aom coming this year

Btw I noticed that all AI ( every civ) doesn't train myth units, only normal soldiers though all the rest works fine in the AI. Don´t know id this is related to this mod or not

I played it a lot a few time ago on an non Steam version of the game, but, on the Steam version of the game, with this version of the mod, i meet a big problem wich cause crash to the mod :
