Could you please make a version without the magicka/stamina drain on hit? Thanks!

you should make a magic mod based off of this http://fairytail.wikia.com/wiki/Heavenly_Body_Magic

So can I block or shield bash with this or is it just a more powerful ward? Also does it level restoration, block, or both ?
oskar.engesvik 14. maj 2012 kl. 11:16
Awsome! this really makes it easier to play as a mage without using the alteration school. One question though, is it supposed to level the restoration school? cus' it does'nt for me and without it i think is't pretty much just a waste to use it.

That did the trick; thanks. (uncheck, load, save, quit, check, load... and tomes were deposited)

@Mr.Pancake: I checked the mod on my end and it is installing all 3 spells.

As a test, please try loading from an early savegame prior to when you installed the original version. That would tell us if you somehow are having a conflict with the new version (possible).

Otherwise, you might try loading a recent savegame with the mod unchecked and save it. Then, check (select) the mod again and run from that new savegame. This might flush out any residue from before.

Short of that and depending on results, you might try manually deleting the mod and then reinstalling. If this becomes necessary, I can list the files involved.

Please let me know what if anything you come up with.

Thanks!

I will look into it and get back with an anwer.

Thanks

After you split them into three, I only have the novice...??? I tried reinstalling the mod but the second two never show up. Any ideas?

@Black_Albert: Yes, I tend to agree the shorter name (Aegis) would be best in the menu.

It's too late to change for now, but I will for next update (no estimate)
gorin 4. maj 2012 kl. 15:42
I have an idea for the name, it's not important but maybe just call it Aegis or Aegis ward?

New version 2.0 now available.

Thanks for you feedback in helping with this update.

@Parcivall: Short of complex scripting (read unrealiable in this case) there isn't any "easy" way to prevent concentration spell interruption.

I am in the process of an update that will include 3 version of the spell (Novice, Adept and Master).

Thanks for feedback!
gorin 4. maj 2012 kl. 0:47
I just think the invisibilty and absorbation effects are unnecessary.
Parcivall 3. maj 2012 kl. 10:03
By the way dont you think it would be better with a higher damage absorption? All the wards kinda dissapoint me in the way that they can be broken really easily
Parcivall 3. maj 2012 kl. 10:01
Dude just yesterday i was thinking how something like this would be awesome! Thanks and GOOD JOB!!!

As you know, "balanced" is in the eye of the beholder.

FYI: To those who feel this spell is too powerful: I designed this because I play Dead is Dead (start over if killed) and I wanted to play as a robed (unarmored) Mage and without having to carry around a shield or weapons (I use a bound sword and bow).

I challenge anyone to survive the game (let's say make it to level 30 for example) as an unarmored Mage without using a traditional shield AND without dying.

The existing Ward spells are useless except debatably against other Mages. This is why I decided to combine Ward with Shield effects - to make Mage a more viable character.
gorin 1. maj 2012 kl. 0:45
Aw ok, would be cool if you could make a gameplay balanced version though :).

I may take out the 3 second invisibility. This, not because invisibility makes it too overpowered, but because it is a bit of a visual distraction, and I don't think invisibility adds much protection in this case, because most NPC's can "see" the ward effect anyway.

As for the other features, I'm leaving them in based on my own experience. Some may like, some may not.
gorin 28. apr. 2012 kl. 20:16
This sounds pretty overpowered, I don't think that "When hit, the Caster becomes invisible for 3 seconds, staggers the Attacker and absorbs up to 20 points of Magic and Stamina." should be in the spell, a simple ward that acts as a physical shield would be nice.

Very nice, I love this - and nice custom cover too :)
