Aegis Shield Ward

This "Shield Ward" operates as both a shield against non-magical weapons (swords, arrows etc), and also as a magical Ward against hostile spells.

Now you can build a Mage character without having to carry around a conventional shield.

This spell is in the Restoration School of Magic.

Shield Ward Aegis versions: (3 seperate Spell Tomes)

Novice:

- Protects against spells and weapons for up to 20 points
- When hit, absorbs up to 10 points Magic and Stamina from Attacker
- Spell Cost (per second): 10

Adept:

- Protects against spells and weapons for up to 50 points
- When hit, staggers* Attacker and absorbs up to 20 points Magic and Stamina
- Spell Cost (per second): 20 **

* You must have Adept Restoration Perk for the stagger effect
** Spell cost is reduced 50% when you have the Adept Restoration Perk

Master:

- Protects against spells and weapons for up to 80 points
- When hit, staggers* Attacker, absorbs up to 40 points Magic and Stamina
- Turns Caster invisible, muffled and with Silence Perk for 5 seconds**
- Spell Cost (per second): 40 ***

* You must have Adept Restoration Perk for the stagger effect
** You must have Master Restoration Perk for the muffled invisibility effect
*** Spell cost is reduced 50% when you have the Master Restoration Perk


Operation:

- Spell Tome Books (3 of them) are initially placed in inventory (in Books section of Menu) at game startup
- Activate in the Restoration section of the Magic menu.
