No, latest stable so I assume 41? it says 41 in the version number at the bottom right but I'm not up to date with what all the B(eta?) numbers are referring to.

I use no other mods, this occurred after I restored a server backup.

You might still have a mod creating a conflict.

Sound like a different issue then, all this mod does is reset the page read so that you can read it again. If it complain about you having already read it while your reading it, then there must be some issue with the check it's making to determine you already read it or something like that.

This mod doesn't actually reset any multipliers the player should have been granted. My character just keeps repeating that the book is obsolete after resetting :(

Thank you @=jF= it seemed that [Has been read] mod does not working correctly with this one, especially if this mod is applied after the save has been running for a while.

Anyway I started a new save now I can see the reset menu.

I posted one in this tread a while back. Make sure it's enabled in both the mod and workshop section in b41. They removed the non intuitive workshop section in b42. Another easier way to handle this is to use the mod manager mod in b41. Also make sure your right clicking on a single book and not on a stack of book. Good luck

In build 41, I've installed and enabled the mod, but not finding the 'reset page read' in context menu. Can you provide a screenshot of what's the menu look like?

PSA for B42. In my limited testing this mod works as advertised. However, the Carving II skill book is currently bugged and functions as a Carpentry skill book, and this mod can't help with the skill multiplier for that. Pending an official update this can be fixed by editing 'ProjectZomboid\media\scripts\items\items_literature_skill.txt'

Hum work fine on my side, can you elaborate? You see it in the mod list and then once enabled do you not see the option when right clicking on a book or do you see it but it's not resetting the page read!?

I was having trouble with my new playtrough, mechanics and metalworking 5-6 were read but I didn't get the multiplier, tried adding the mod to the save 2 times and it worked on the second. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

This mod will help when you have alot of mods causing error re read the book when it glitches or error then bugs out. Best mod.

Ive recently had a problem while leveling up my metalworking. For some reason, I had negative exp earned once I leveled up. And the book I was supposed to read was already read. This fixes things nicely. Thanks!

Works perfectly, we also had some run ins with mods wiping skill bonuses and couldn't re-read books. Thanks a lot!

For anyone having issue
- You need to right click on an individual book not on a stack of book, there's a "Reset Page Read" options there.
- Also make sure you not only enable the mod in the mod section, but also add it in the "workshop" list or it won't work.

I ended up starting a new run shortly after making the mod and haven't had the issue since, so it wasn't really worth it time wise to make that mod versus restating.

So I'm glad it's helping other people at least
