Yeah, when I did that and uploaded it so users stop asking me to update the mod, the launcher changed the edit I made to whatever version was in the launcher, anyway I put 1.* in the launcher and that's seems to do it

@Awkland I simply changed the descriptor file in notepad. I don't really know what you're referring to. I know you can change the version number in the launcher, but I never do.

so the reason I didn't do that for that mod is paradox has "broken" portrait mods before, when they added regents. If they add a different type of portrait in the future, I'd be kinda misleading people with that descriptor.

Only way that could happen to this mod though is if they added a new artifact rarity, replacing the current portraits dds file in the process, which I highly doubt they will

I am amazed that every modder doesn't do it, just to keep the masses quiet : )

supported_version=1.*" to Clear Portrait Borders

Which is my way of telling the launcher to leave me alone :P

its a gfx mod, with a single dds file. so it most likely isnt needed. i havent had time to update it and i havent had time to check.

i will probably do so tonight. that said, anyone can run the game with the mod checked on, look at an artifact icon, and see if it has stars. it wouldnt hurt your game in any way.

@Lik it works with any conversion mod, as long as they dont have their own .dds file. You can load this after elder kings and it will overwrite anything they have. it's just a texture file.

Many of us know that modders are awesome folks that create mods in their free time, which is unpaid, and is merely a hobby. None of us are entitled to demand anything from modders.

Most of the community really appreciates what modders do, it is just the vocal losers that can dominate the boards their complaints, constant messages of "Update, plz", or insults.

Hopefully jerks like him do not discourage modders to just stop making and maintaining mods.

You must be new to downloading mods. Let me tell how it works. Modders create stuff for free. You download. Modders don't have to update their mods perpetually. @Lucas182 I ended up getting this Saxon Spear from a taking over this county in a war I joined from my ally. The spear had no info on it from this mod.

Thanks for this. I kind of know the color rarity from playing RPG or Dungeon Crawler games, but it was still a little confusing here in CK3.

I just got Excalibur and I do not know why PDX did not label it unique, it comes up like something regular, basically no stars with this mod. Strange for a legendary sword, but then again, some players said it can show up in their game multiple times, unless PDX fixed that already. lol
