Agreed, but wish they would edit it in game. Nobles were multi-ethnic yes but not for equality lol. Otherwise they would not have servants.

@Not So Sure: Thanks for the translations! I decided to use the latter since I suppose it's probably better for something that would fit better rather than being a literal translation.

Here are two german translations for you. Kosmopolitisch is a literal translation, Weltoffen is a translation germans will actually understand.

Nice. Hate seeing "egalitarian" policies in nation which see women as lesser or what have you. Like... that... doesn't fit the meaning of the term?

Never considered this but you're right. Those with egalitarian would necessarily have males and females as knights and have equal inheritance law.

I must also add that egalitarianism is a 18 century term. It really breaks medieval immersion, when the term cosmopolitanism was used in ancient eras

Makes sense. In fact, it's easy to imagine situations in which a cosmopolitan ethos will directly conflict with an egalitarian ethos, namely, in one's attitude when encountering other cultures' practices that are decidedly un-egalitarian. Do you try to get the other culture to change its inequitable practices, or do you accept those practices as part of someone else's culture? An egalitarian ethos will tend to favor the former approach, but a cosmopolitan ethos will tend to favor the latter.
