Can confirm on the .DDS error as well

getting an error about the cube_blocks_contactpack.sbc, flood_light.DDS it doesnt like the capitals in the file extension

Could I trouble you to put such notes in the actual changelog function so that they don't get buried in the comments like they inevitably will?

Updated to boost the range of all the spotlight type blocks, particularly the floodlights from the contact update.

As before, this is a vanilla block replacement so your blueprints remain vanilla and only get the range boost when the mod is present :)

Tiger, I feel your pain. I am also desperate to find something to improve the suit lights. Because when replacing the skybox to something more realistic, the suit lights can not prevent you from crashing into a tree at night because they only illuminate the tree when you already cant stop from dying. All vanilla lights are useless at proper night and normal movement speed. 1 Km for small grid, 2km for large grid are great. But the suit lights should be able to illuminate at least 50 meters (great if it could adjusted on the mod the actual value).

I don't suppose there's any way to make the spacesuit lights have longer range too? Obviously you can't adjust their range like with grid spotlights, but it's jarring to have such powerful lights with this mod and yet the suit lights can still only reach a couple of dozen meters at best. It'd be nice if the suit lights could be double or triple the default range when this mod is active.

For folks having trouble with Searchlights and WeaponCore - check your vanilla replacer, some of them affect the searchlight and will cause the 4m range issue.

I dont use weaponcore, too advanced for me ;)
I've been trying to figure it out because i dont use many just because they tent to break the game in mp. I have a hand or two handful of mods like colour icons. Nothing that changes the game too much fundamentally tho.

This is a one line xml edit, if you're having crashes it'll almost certainly not be due to this mod but due to some interaction with a more significant mod like WeaponCore

We got it to work we just wiped the server and input the mod list and the old save file must have just been a bug thanks for the idea though.

Thanks for respond Splitsie I thought that at first to so I put it from the first mod loaded to the last and still nothing I am only using the mods in your Assertive Acquisitions Mod List as my friends and I are fans and wanted to take a crack at it ourselves. If you have any more ideas on how we can fix this it would be greatly appreciated.

It's most likely that another mod on your server makes a change to the searchlight definitions and is later in the load order so overwrites any changes I made

So i confirmed its in the server its just not working/changing the spotlights... anyone have any ideas?

Does anyone know why this is not working. Or maybe its not loading into my dedicated server not sure how I can tell.

Would love to use this searchlight but because I have WC - I can't. The choice therefore is, do I lose WC or not use sensible searchlight?

Yeah I'm running into the same issue. I've ooked everywhere and cannot find a mod to fix the searchlights to work with weaponcore

Search light AI range is limited to 4m making it unable to track anything. I've tested this mod on a vanilla game & it works great until I install Weapon Core. Then I get this 4m nonsense. So I'm guessing this is a WC issue but was wondering if maybe there was a workaround?

Now, if only I could signal Batman for help.

@ben There is a searchlight in the Assault Weapons (April Update) mod pack. It functions the same as the Warfare II DLC searchlight but without needing DLC.

@ben Pretty sure you need to have the DLC to have the spot light so how would a non DLC version make sense?

If you set this mod to load after the one with the turret range it should take precedence. Since this mod only alters the lights it won't change the weaponry

I think the issue is that there's a mod that increases ai turret ranges to match the range of the guns, but it messes with the searchlights too, and it's making the max range of the light 160m, which is completely trash :( (but I don't wanna go back to nerfed artillery turrets either)

It's entirely possible that another mod messes with the config file and overwrites any changes I made. Try loading the world with just this mod and see if it works then :)

Hey @splitsie I have this installed the small grid varient adjusts to 800m but the large grid varient didn’t change for me it is still limited to 800m

@Julia MaxRangeMeters is the AI targeting range.
LightReflectorRadius.Max is the maximum value of the slider for the light itself.
